Game Crashes upon Saving.

I ran it through both BOSS and LOOT then ran it through FO3Edit and I didn't get any conflicts. Created a merged patch and I happily played the game and was able to for several hours. Everything seemed to be working fine, I could fast travel and save the game. I didn't add any additional mods but now, for some reason, any time I attempte to save the game it immediately crashes to desktop.

You have a corrupted game save &/or game install. My Skyrim did this exact same thing a couple weeks ago & a total re-install fixed it, along with upgrading my GPU (GTX Titan X). Bethesda titles are known to bug out for unknown reasons, especially with mods installed. Chalk it up to Bethesda & their outdated scripting methods/coding practices/artificial memory limits for that one.

Since you have the Blackened patch for Mart's Mutant Mod, are you using the Paradox Ignition version of Mart's?

 

If so, disable and delete all the Mart's .esp. Do not uninstall them, disable and delete.

 

If you don't, that is the only version with which Blackened will work.

Your instructions are confusing, do you mean "If not" instead of "If so"?

Nope, his instructions were on point, but I'll try explaining in another way; If you're using the Paradox Ignition version of Marts Mutant Mod, all of the following plugins become redundant:

Okay thanks a lot. Now, however, I'm having a different problem. With the current load order below I started a new game and I make it through the birth scene up to the point where I can choose alternate start with FWE. I use the terminal and make all of my choices and then I use the bed to exit out into the waste. After that the game crashes every time without fail, I've been messing around with the order and adding and removing mods but the same thing happens every time.

I have read about this over in the FO3 Wanderer's Edition comments section. You might find an answer there.

 

I never use the alternate start since I have a save just before you would make your final choices in the vault access tunnel and a save in the wasteland just after leaving the vault.

 

You can't use Optional Restore Tracers (automatics only).esp and Optional Restore Tracers.esp in the same game.

So just an update. I played the game through Vault 101 and when I exited the vault out into the wastes the game crashed. So it appears as though the game crashing is connected to the wastes.
