willf0rce
i've been thinking about having a go at making some new armors by mashing together bits of the vanilla armors, taking a shoulder pad from here and some gloves from there and sticking them onto something else if you know what i mean, and i was just wondering what would be the best program to do this with? and also, if anyone could give me any tips or point me at a tutorial for how i might do this, that'd be great. i'm not looking at making any new meshes, just taking bits from vanilla ones and combining them to make something new. VincentIcarus
For 3D modeling the preferred program is Blender. You can download it here: http://www.blender.org/ and they have tutorial on their site found here: http://www.blender.org/education-help/tutorials/As far as textures go most people use Photoshop but if you don't have it and don't have 600 bucks for it I've heard good things about a program called GIMP. You can find it here: http://www.gimp.org/
Lanceor
I think this is what you were looking for:http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Making_New_Armor_Using_NifSkope If you have Photoshop or another graphics program, you can easily do a retexture as well.
