Creation Kit

Since no one has posted yet I will give it a shot. I would like to see more collaborating possibilities done with this kit like simultronics have done with their Hero engine. You can have up to 25 people working on the same project at the same time and see what they are doing while you are playing the game. Zenimax/Bethesda are using it and i'm sure they want that in their own kit for our users. Another thing I would like to see would be premade landscapes (just their basics) for any lands that won't be in the possible expansions like Morrowind. I think with a new generation should come with new ways to approach the problems we face today in modding making it easier and more creative friendly for even the least experienced modders. I would add in a seperate disk for video tutorials for more of a hands on learning from beginners to advanced. I cannot write everything so I ask your opinion, Thanks

Tutorials would be an excellent feature, why didn't they include them with the CS to start with!? I wondered why they'd make you go online to learn how to use some of the advanced features (unless I was just missing something in my CS, I had a hard time getting into scripting). If they make the kit the same format they made the CS, I'll be fine.

I think the interface for the current CS is perfect in its functionality, yeah, it looks like windows 98, but it does the job fine. What I would like to see are fewer crashes and maybe streamline it a bit more, its slightly bulky. No matter what, I am satisfied that there will be a creation kit.

I think you guys are missing the point of a new kit. Morrowind wasn't like Oblivions and neither will skyrims be. If there were anything to bring to this kit never before used what would it be?

If its a completely new kit then the only way I would predict is going to be is annoying to learn. :P

Well but... really for me I don't see anything new that can really make it helpful. Maybe a quick launch that automatically launches the game in test mode in the cell you are in.

I'd like to see a 3D height map editor.

I hope they give us a working .lip generator.

Judging by the latest info on dialog I'd say lip syncing is obsolete now.

One of things you've solved is the old crash zooming to characters faces when they start talking to you... 04:27

Solved as in we took it out. Yeah, solved!

Tell me what's there instead. 04:37

We wanted to treat dialog not as another mode. Before we would always treat it as, this is a mode your in, talking to somebody but we want it to be sort of just smooth in the same way fighting a guy isn't just another mode it's just something the buttons are doing at the time. Now the game doesn't stop, it's all real time, you press a button on a guy and like a trim thing comes up like the topics you can ask comes out on the edge of the screen and you can select them with the thing. You can press the button and just continue on. It's almost like displaying the menu then closing the menu. What we've actually found is a guy will be giving you a quest, and traditionally you click on 'em and you'll be listening to the quest and you'd jam the button to like listen to it all and get the quest and now you just hit "b" to close it. He just keeps talking and you just walk away like "yeah i got it" and you just wander off. You can just kinda back up and talk to someone else, he's still, he might stop, if you get far enough away he just says "yeah I get it" but you can reengage him right away without ever breaking the flow of that. It even allows us to... sometimes we can have conversations with multiple people. We just kind of viewed it as not a whole other mode just like a trim thing like how do you repsond to somebody as opposed to entering a mode where there is a back and forth.
