SpiritofTheWOLFx
I have encountered a roadblock in my mod. I am trying to make a custom textured NPC deathclaw, and I cannot seem to figure out how to do it. I have the texture already finished, converted to DDS, I just cannot figure out how I am supposed to put the texture onto the NPC. If anyone could drop a tutorial I would really appreciate it. DaemonGrin
http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Unique_armor_and_texture_sets_in_easy_steps only difference is your texture would go in textures\creatures\deathclaw\ if you didn't create a normal you need to extract the vanilla or make one. Hope it helps!Geoff

Hope it helps!GeoffIt didn't really help. Sorry. What I am trying to do exactly if re-skin a Deathclaw. I need to make it a unique NPC. I have the texture already, in DDS format, but there is no place to change/edit textures in the NPC pop-up window. I have the .nif file ready for the skeleton but I cannot add the the texture anywhere. Thank you anyways.
Deleted1205226User
So your question is actually how do I make an unique NPC and then apply a unique texture to it.
SpiritofTheWOLFx
So your question is actually how do I make an unique NPC and then apply a unique texture to it. I need to know how to RE-Texture a Deathclaw. I know how to make the NPC, I need to add the brand new texture for it that I have created and converted to .DDS I cannot use the same method as I have for re-texturing guns, since it does not give you the same options as it does for guns (Unless I am blind). I can make the NPC, I do not need to make a new model, I need to add this texture I have created to a edited Deathclaw actor. I have it created, ALL I need to do is re-texture it. DaemonGrin
You need to make a new model then. By extracting the deathclaw nif changing the name to yourdeathclaw.nif or w/e and change the texture paths in the nif to yours. and place it in the meshes\creatures\deathclaw\ folder. Then open up the deathclaw creature in GECK change ID and name and tab over to modellist and select yourdeathclaw (again w/e you named it) as the model and you have your unique deathclaw. I go into where the texture path tab thing is supposed to be and it is blank as well. All the model is a plastic white color with no texture. SpiritofTheWOLFx
Figured it out but now I am missing only certain spots on the texture.
SpiritofTheWOLFx
Now there are no texture paths at all.
SpiritofTheWOLFx
To be clear in Nifskope there is no where in the Block List that reads/shows where the texture path should be. I have it textured in nifscope, but now I cannot retexture it.
