IgnorantBeast101
Ok, so I have opened this topic for people who do similar things, like...rename someone and have them say something along the lines of their name. For example, this happened to me a day or two ago. I used an Active Inventory Spell (mod) on a beggar (didn't know he was at the time) and gave him some armor. I also used the setactorfullname cheat and named him "Weak Guard"About 20 minutes later, I walk around the town and I see him. I'm about to walk past him and he says "Spare a coin for an old war veteran." Lets see..... "Weak Guard" plus "Old War Veteran".......it matches! HOLY CRAP. TheSwedishPancake
I have a mod that adds bar fights to certain taverns. I watched one fight today where this one Redguard facepalmed a Dark Elf into a beer keg about 10 times in a row every time he stood up. In Vanilla Oblivion, though, probably a guard getting killed by a wolf. Most pathetic thing I've ever seen.
ElricOfGrans
I think this may have been caused by some kind of odd mod incompatibility. I once saw a person just standing there suddenly shoot up into the air. About five minutes later, some distance away, I saw them land again in front of me. Never happened again and I have no idea what caused it. Even weirder. I use a fatigue mod, which makes actors sometimes stumble and fall when their fatigue is drained. I once rode a horse pretty hard along a mountain range when it stumbled. We both fell, rolling all the way down to the base of the mountain, bouncing off rocks and trees the whole way. Once we finally settled, the game reset us both to where we were originally without any health lost! For kind of fun, one time when I played a sniper I saw what I thought was a bandit in the distance and took a ping. They were not only a lot further away that I thought (so I missed), but it was actually a MMM Hill Giant. I had chosen The Sign of the Steed for this character, so I ran. Hard. The Giant gave chase. I ran into a group of Bandits; the Giant made short work of them. I ran into a group of Imps; the Giant made short work of them. I ended up running him through probably every group of enemies in the Great Forest region (it had become intentional after the Imps), letting him take them all out. The enemies all foolishly tried to attack me while the Giant took them out! Once I had enough I lead him to a patrol, who I helped to finish the Giant off. To the victor, the spoils! Lazilot
3 Things. 1. I think its hilarious to steal or attack someone in front of a guard, anything to get them to try and arrest me.So i run as long as i can, well while i was running i got stuck in the floor somehow and i was arrested. 2. I killed and used the console to resurrect an IC Guard. But he wasn't at his post,So i waited. He still wasn't at his post, so i decided to look for him. I found out he was glitched under the stairs, swimming. 3. I love hearing the guards shout "Help Help! I'm being attacked"
Ferryt
Quest: Raid on Greyland In a nutshell, you have to kill a skooma dealer in Greyland and return the guy's ring to an Imperial guard named Lerexus Callidus, and you get congratulated and receive a middling sum of gold for the bounty. In theory this is simple little side mission. The second time I did it, things went without a hitch. I showed up at Greyland, went inside, found Kylius Lonavo inside, killed him, raided the place, and returned to Lerexus with his ring. End of story. The first time, though, was an absolute circus. When I arrived there was a woman out back in full-run mode, screaming something (I don't remember what). I rushed inside to be confronted by two people, only one of which was Kylius. I drew my sword, but they ignored me and rushed outside. I rushed outside right behind them, to find them chasing the woman, who headed toward the Leyawiin west gate. Suddenly the area was swarming with NPCs and it was utter pandemonium with everyone trying to kill Kylius and the other person who was inside Greyland. In a few moments it was all over (I think Lerexus got in the killing blow on Kylius) and everyone went back to doing whatever they were doing. I looted Kylius' body, got the ring, and handed it over to Lerexus, who congratulated me on a job well-done and then gave me the bounty. I never got in a single blow in all the confusion because I had no idea who was on my side and who wasn't, save for the guard! I still don't have a clue what happened. Independent Thievery In another situation I was headed to the tavern to fence some goods with Ongar only to see him try to steal something. There was an Imperial guard inside the tavern just a moment later (don't you just hate psychic guards?) and Ongar tried to run up the stairs. He got as far as the top step and the guard killed him. So much for my fence. Fortunately, I had already fenced enough to be using other fences, but Ongar was my favorite of the bunch.
NAPALM13092
I was killed by a dead horse................. I rode my horse off of a cliff in the Jerral Mountains by accident while not paying attention and taking to someone and my character had a high acrobatics skill and survived the initial fall only to be taken out by the carcass of my horse rolling down the cliff behind me. Some hero I am huh?
majikmonkee
I've heard of "beating a dead horse" before, but getting beaten BY one, now that's just ridiculous! Corrine was trying to return to her shack on the Waterfront after a productive night of creating mayhem as a vampire. The Imperial guard who wanders back in forth in front of the harbor started hassling her for being a vampire, so she cut his head off, leaving his corpse lying in the street. A couple days later, she was doing the Thieve's Guild mission where all of the Imperial guards are wandering around the waterfront looking for Armond, and the headless body had moved itself in between the shacks, presumeably moved there as a scripted event (it was still dead and lying motionless, of course). Speaking of Deadly Reflex, I used the spell that makes people explode on the annoying fan, forgetting at the time that he respawns, and each different piece of him would in turn respawn. Well, pictures say it best... http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f162/majikmonkee1975/trifans.jpg Edited February 15, 2011 by majikmonkee
Lazilot
Can't seem to get rid of the Adoring fan no matter what you do. I once tried to get him to kill himself by jumping off dive rock (I'm sure everyone has seen this before) Well he ran off but he didn't die.I looked around for his body, and checked the arena district. He wasn't there,I went back to dive rock and it turns out he was glitched between two rocks on the way down.
TheMastersSon
Not a glitch, but at first I didn't know followers occasionally close doors. My first follower (Donton) and I were sitting in a big room and some lady (Earana iirc) was standing in the doorway berating me about something. Viranus gets up, walks about 15 feet clear across the room, slams the door in her face mid-sentence and then walks back and sits down. I laughed about it the entire day. I wish these kinds of random behaviors and surprises were more a lot common in games. It's all about replay value.
majikmonkee
One of my companions was following me in the Battlehorn Castle, and he kept getting stuck running against the edge of display cases. I'm guessing his AI was assuming there was a door in the way, because he would open the cases, then just keep running. It drove me nuts, I'm pretty picky about lids and cupboards standing open irl (sharp corners, you know)so I had to keep running back and closing them all...and of course my companion was getting stuck on the cases again as he tried to follow me to close them...
