onson Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Does anyone know why arrows bounce off mudcrabs? I've looked around in the creation kit and can't seem to find anything. I'd like to have a spell that causes arrows to deflect off the Player character.Has anyone seen anything like this?
Cowgoesmoo3 Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Any other creatures that have an arrow-bounce property? I thought charuses do.
lofgren Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 I can tell you that arrow behavior is determined by the impact data set WPNzArrowImpactSet
Tamira Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 This should be caused by the collision type of their skeleton nif. For the mudcrab it is SKY_HAV_MAT_BROKEN_STONE, this is why arrows bounce off.For most other creatures like bear, deer etc. it is SKY_HAV_MAT_SKIN. Chaurus have SKY_HAV_MAT_ORGANIC where arrows stick even better and with a smack.
skinnytecboy Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 ...out of the box possible sideways solution. Perhaps find away to summon an oversized and invisible mud crab with a package that keeps it close? Silly answer I know. . But then again
Staff BigBizkit Posted July 14, 2015 Staff Posted July 14, 2015 What? I never realized that.Has been a while since I've been using a bow. Bolts seem to just kill them.
