LordDratik
I have tried all versions prior and they work fine but I need a version over 3.8.0 to make a Morrowind overhaul work properly. I have put everything correctly in the Morrowind folder and when I click on the MGE exe it says MGE has stopped working. I am running windows 7 and I have tried everything, (giving it admin. rights, trying to open it in XP mode and redownloading it) but nothing seems to work. Can someone please help me? LordDratik
I finally got it to work but now I keep getting a fatal error when doing the distant land setup wizard. It says: A fatal error occurred creating the landscape meshes. Distant land setup cannot continue. Unable to find an entry point named 'TessellateLandscape' in DLL 'MGE/MGEfuncs.dll'. What does this mean and how do I fix it? I am soooo close!
KainReaver83
I had a somewhat similar problem. My distant land option didn't work either. So I turned it off. But MGE made my video "scatter" around. I tried different options but nothing seemed to work. So I just uninstalled it and everything works ok now. One thing that could be wrong with your issue is the possibility that you don't have Bloodmoon and/or Tribunal installed. Such is my case. My suggestion, should you not have Bloodmoon and/or Tribunal installed, is to just uninstall MGE. Yes the graphics aren't great, but if that's what it takes to get your game to work again, then that would be your best bet. Sorry if this didn't help. Best of luck to you. -Kain
gamer365
hi okay hope this helps you that could be that you have morrowind installed to the default program files folder? if you have try installing outside of program files then try again. If it`s not that it could be that you dont have the required files i.e: at least directx 9.0c aug 2008 (info from sourceforge page) Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable. there is a full guide here. My link link to sourceforge page other than that hopefully someone else thats got 3.8.2 installed could maybe help you out?good luck in getting it sorted Edited February 24, 2011 by gamer365
