Lioness446
For some reason, whenever I am in the race menu, the game crashes when I select the imperial race. This makes it impossible to view the imperial race or any race above it. I recently upgraded my SKSE to the newest version, 1.7.3, and maybe that's causing the issue, but I doubt it. Help! Lioness446
I just tried running the game through a normal window, and that fixed the problem. Switching between races is still slow to load, but it doesn't crash at least. Until this is fixed, don't plan on starting any new characters with SKSE installed anytime soon! obobski
I've not experienced this issue with SKSE (or other mods that impact starting a new game) with selecting an Imperial. This may be a conflict with another mod you have.
saurusmaximus
Are you using Racemenu or ECE? If so, are they up to date? Also, are you using Show racemenu precache killer?
Jannifer
The Showracemenu Precache Killer is now part of SKSE, I believe. You don't have to install it separately anymore. Also, SKSE does absolutely nothing to your game unless you use a mod that needs the functionality it adds. Many people want to blame SKSE for crashes and so forth when the problem is much more likely to be a bad load order, out of date mod, too many mods or any of the multitude of other things which can cause Skyrim to crash. So, use SKSE with confidence. :)
MotoSxorpio
Precache killer is Included as part of OneTweak. Not sure about SKSE having this built in. OneTweak has INI defaulted to turn on PreCacheKiller. You can get a standalone version of PrecacheKiller here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33526/? If this is not your solution, then you likely have a mod causing the issue. Post load order and Mods list. Good luck.
