Oblivion Mod Detectives

Hello all, I've got a bit of an issue with one of my mods, but unfortunately I can't tell which one!

I appear to have incorrectly installed the meshes / textures for a weapons mod, which is resulting in giant hideous yellow "MISSING A MESH" signs around Tamriel. So far, I've had this problem occur with four custom weapons in-game:

- steel brown arrows

- steel brown mace

- chainmail dark greaves

- leather camouflage boots

Any idea which mod this might be, and / or how to fix the problem?

Hey, any luck in tracking this mod down?

I should always listen to my gut instinct. Cause of that, Darknified deleted a spell mod I liked (and crashes every couple of rooms, stupid mod). I can't seem to find it, even though it's got to do with enchanting. It increases the enchantment values, from 100 to 300, as well as the area from 120 to 360, and same for time. I thought it was called enchantment enhanced, but that turns out to be something else, as well as increased enchantment or something like that, but I can't find it, could someone help me out?

EDIT: I'm an idiot, it's spellmaking, not enchanting. Either way, is there a mod, other than Martigen's Monster Mod and the mod with powerful bosses that introduces new species and is a good mod?

Hi!

Well, im just looking for a mod out there (if any)

that would change the limit of "85" when wearing really strong

armor. It appears to be the highest amount of shielding it would

go up to. I just want a mod take would change 85 to

whatever the actual amount should be.

It kind bugs me cuz I'm wearing all these shield rings and

the number doesnt go any higher then 85 :wallbash:

If anyone knows where I can find a mod that changes

that, plz link

much appreciated :thanks:

Well, first off, this kind of posts/topics belong to the Mod Troubleshooting section of this forum. The main thing is, you should know yourself what mod adds what. In this case you should probably create a topic of it, with a complete list of mods that you have active and the current load order you're using. I'm going to give a few basic pointers for you to check on before posting in that section;

1. Check that your x:\xxx\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\textures\ -folder does not have a textures -folder inside it, if it does, cut/paste it to your x:\xxx\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ -folder and overwrite all the files it prompts.

2. Check that your x:\xxx\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\meshes\ -folder doesn't have a meshes -folder inside it, if it does, cut/paste it to your x:\xxx\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ -folder and overwrite all the files it prompts.

3. Check that your x:\xxx\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ -folder doesn't have a Data -folder inside it, if it does, cut/paste it to x:\xxx\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\ -folder and overwrite all the files it prompts.

4. Make sure you haven't changed the file locations at all or renamed any of the files that have been provided in any of the mods you've installed from the folder structure that was inside the mod, only copy/pasted or cut/pasted the textures -folder, meshes -folder and the .esp file, if there was one, to your x:\xxx\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\ -folder, otherwise the install is wrong and the items will not appear correctly.

5. De-activate all the possible trouble causing mods 1-3 at a time depending on how many you have active and once the problem causing items disappear, active that specific group 1 mod at a time and see which one of them adds those items. Once you know the mod, it is far easier for people to help you with your problem.

Yo.

This time, I'm looking for a sound effects mod which adds an emmersive 'Tavern' ambient sound effect to most of Oblivion's inns. This is a mod I had downloaded on the nexus long ago, but my more recent efforts in searching for this mod have been in vain. I've tried advanced search as well as tag search, with no results. I really hope this mod is still up for download somewhere on the internet.

Good luck and happy detecting!

P.S. Also, I'm looking for a heavy armor footstep sound effects replacer. Yeah, I'm asking if this mod exists... :/ only reply to THIS request if you absolutely know if and where I can download it though. Thanks ^^

Hello there! I was told that you guys could probably help me find what I was looking for.

It's really great of you to be providing this kind of service for the rest of the community. I was hoping you could find this particular facewrap/ mask. I'm fairly certain that it's not Cryo's work. Good luck and thanks in advance!

hey, a week ago i came across a mod that edited dark elf, wood elf and high elf ears. At that point i didnt want it coz i hate elf playing elf races but now i want it so atleast the NPCs walking around have the better looking ears. All i remember is the picture when u search for it has the 3 ears shown. The wood elf one is like bent in the middle to hang to the side-ish. Would appreciate if you could find this been searching for 3 days and i cant driving me nuts! It could have possibly gotten deleted though i suppose.

This wouldn't be the picture you mean would it? If it is, yes I did delete it for a time and for a time only had it available at my forum, but I reuploaded it here about 2-3 weeks ago. It's here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21845

Hey guys, I'm looking for some big bulky warrior armor, similar to this perhaps

http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21568

I like that armor a lot though it's not really my favorite color and I prefer armor with some reflections on it as well (I know there is another armor done by that same author that is very shiny but there is no male version and it's a bit to robot looking for me). If you guys can point me in the right direction that would rock
