A poem a Day

The Way I Feel

The way I feel,

when I'm with you,

I forget my troubles,

like there's just us two.

You make my heart,

beat fast and strong,

and you make me feel,

that I truly belong.

You fill the gaps,

inside my heart,

like I've finally found,

my missing part.

I sink in your eyes,

I'm warmed by your smile,

and the world is perfect,

just for a while.

You make life better,

than it used to be.

You are the sugar,

in my cup of tea.

Whenever you need me,

I'll always be there.

I'll be there to talk to,

I'll be there to care.

Because for you,

I would do anything.

Bound by unbreakable chains are we, at the heart

Even when everything seems to keep us far apart

Love is the destiny of the soul, the fire that saves

In hearts alone echoes this joyful sound in raves

Everything will be okay, just hold still and close

Verily the Paradise shall bloom our sweet rose

Eternally, held in my arms, shall be great love

I live in a dream

My ever growing fantasy

Of vivid colors and light

Soft, sweet music romantic

With no end in sight

Yet the dream passes as the night

I live in real life

Fighting to get back to dreams

So wonderful and fair

Not a moment goes by

When I day dream of dreaming

Beyond this living world

To fiction made alive

Hopes of a future

Visions of love and joy

When entering the light

Of my minds Paradise

The sun's rays shine in my eyes

Awake to another restless day

Or is it!

I stand amidst the thrashing rain, bound and beaten by nightmares and chains

The maw of Terra comes to devour, in darkness, me, but through will alone I am to be

Blades of icy rain fall to the Abyss below, shattering upon a dark, glassen ground with an echo

The world has blinded my eyes and drowned me in darkness, yet I shall never fall into disgrace

I stand sentinel on this rock of ages old, as voracious gales of viridian fangs froze my soul cold

Blackened clouds of a miasma true to rupture the grey, but through all I do remain here to stay

Never is it the man freed from pain to be wise, but he who overcomes the world's vise

I, to weather the storm through my desolation, to rise from the ash of ruination

Dragon's Death Rising

I will stand against the rain of fire and

Hold tight when my blood runs cold. But here

Lies in me the heart of will, and the Grace of power.

See forth mine inveterate adversary, the daemon of

Milliard tongues of fire, suckle to violence and hatred,

As it opens maw and talon to take the body of Terra in

The Chalice it holds. The cavern's fangs are woven bands

In flesh, its dentition of nightmare steel and crimson bath in

Wine of the Marshes, its razors twixt of metal vineyards and

Scorned ashes of Asmodeus.

Adversary shall stand, to vomit from its gape miasma, and belch

Rotten flame of pestilence and shadow as the world passeth before

Me, stilled and shattered by that vile creature spat of damnation and

Its acrid tongue, the lick that shattered the world. As it roared, so I felt

My body and his, the world was one and gone, in shadow I wone, alone

With the Monster. The Hydra's tail shackled to cloud and thunder to usurp

In mockery of the Living God, these, the heavens. Vile beast! To offer thine tail

Inst its blood and rivers to speak thy mother tongue of rape to the holy winds and

Waters!

It lay before my feet to mock the light, as I raised hand, woven by cracked leather and

Spilt blood, birthed in the crucible of Thanatos' breath and Leviathan's fang, cry oft torn

In a bloodmoon time, time, time once more. Cracked sky rains now the dust from great

Bahamut's lash, to make ten thousand oceans within ten thousand seas, yet all this is

Pittance to the hellish plague of this God-defying daemon. So take my hand of razor sharp

And voracious, to feast upon its gaze the world of Tiamat's eye before it. So bashed hath I

Hook of Hell, and taken Ultima fromst breast to hand, and let the dragon feel the Wrath and

Power of the Lord it blasphemes.

Carve I in stone it, Caina, for never shall Judecca suffice, and spake I in tongue of spike and

Ferrum, to drive inst the wyrm's skull the world of a thousand eyes, and as the blood spattered

Uponst its rotten tongue, deadened branch of esssse and coiled flames, as hydrargyrum filleth

The throat of the beast and it cast forth the bloody foam it shall retch no more upon the earth. As

I stand, Ultima in tipth, and rip do I from this, the Dragon of Rape, of life, love lost, and beauty of

Gaia and Tartarus, and shred I more and further from serpent of Sin this, scales, to bear witness

To miracle and light. Ere I spake last this tale, it shall have been from a dragon's lips.

Listen to me and listen close

So I can tell you what you mean to me

Starting with something I cannot describe

Nothing will portray you good enough

Even in a slight way

But I must try, somehow

More beautiful than a picture pose

Lovely beyond what eyes can see

Better than what musicians transcribe

You fill me with so much love

What else can I say

Never better than what I said now

  • 2 weeks later...

Come fly away with to a land of awesomeness

A scenic view of water and sand

With trees swaying in the gentle breeze

The sun baking us as we look

Come jump with me into the water, it's not cold

My fishy friends want to play

Just come in and be next to me shivering

I will help you warm up soon

What lies to be, Shant be free

Wrapped in dream, and shrouded mist of twilight's gleam

Lies my soul, adrift in the oblique home of my sanctuary

As I cast my icy breath upon these solemn streams

Who am I, but flesh and bone, dust short of an obituary

The requiems of the night speak, as like glass I shatter

Yet as I remain caught between heaven and hell, I be wary

The world was not always like this, a cold mass of matter

But once, I did not feel this rain that grasps my hand now

Rather, between tranquility and desolation, fate chose the latter

Sometimes when I lie on my bed of rock and sand I think how

How indeed these tongues of serpents and men had turned me to ice

And how I stay my hand and refuse to take my final, lonely bow

Fire and water and earth and wind, give and take, no offering suffice

The east wind chars my skin, and the floods leave me cold and wet

The earth crumbles to its core to reject, and gales do my skin slice

As my pyre builds and I am rapt in ilex bands and evory, I may forget

What a life could be like where a man could make mistakes and repent

Where I walked in the shadows, I now wait for the time to pay my debt

All worth living is not for the faint of heart, and I stood still and my life was spent

But I wonder if in my cavern of wisps and flame I might find some answers I had

Perhaps, though, I lived so ill that I had not thought about change until I went

Maybe death's cold embrace shall bring me comfort, or maybe life was where I should have been glad

I have now soon to pay the price for becoming the hoarfrost, atone in death for becoming the pestilence

The ruination of this oak tomb has come to pass and fade in the umbra of a dawn to come to the bad

Perhaps in this life I thought too much, and acted too little, and where so lies in that sense

The one thing that could have razed my iron veins and amber hide, angel note as God sends

That perhaps now my bell shall echo a vapid toll, and void shall I remain then and hence

For you see, I descend into Diablos' jaw, and be strapped in Leviathan's maw, as my soul bleeds and bends

For deserve I not mercy for my sloth, in full have I earned the wrath of God and revulsion of men forever

I now lie a dragon's fodder, bone and ash in rejected voice of the waves of the Void, and in desolation... so my life ends.
