Archive Invalidation just doesn't work. When I have it on, the game crashes when it reaches the title screen. I just don't get it? How come no one bothered to make sure this thing works properly. It might be my computer, but I heard this occurring to other people. I could play fallout 3 without it, but then some mods won't work that I really need in order to play. I played the game with this before and it worked fine. But when I uninstalled the game and reinstalled later, the mods were gone and I had to reinstall them. But now, Archive is causing my game to crash on start. Can someone please fix this so everyone can play fallout modded properly?

Archive Invalidation is part of three major mod managers that I know of. It is in use by millions of people over many years. There is nothing to be fixed.

Given this track record, it would appear that the problem you're having is not caused by a properly installed file.

Can't they patch it?

There's nothing to patch. The problem is on your end.

If you are crashing when Archive Invalidation is On, then try reinstalling any mod that has user interfacehttp://cdncache-a.akamaihd.net/items/it/img/arrow-10x10.png elements.

How would that work?

How would what work? The reinstalling or the crashing?

Are you using the Darnified UI mod or one of Gopher's HUD mods? If you are, reinstall it/them. Otherwise, post your load order.

As a temporary workaround of sorts you could also remove your "menus" folder inside you Fallout3/data directory, but that's not really recommended.

They can't patch it. Are you kidding me?

But I can't post my load order because out of frustration I uninstalled my game and pretty much deleted the other mods on my load order. I'll just assume my computer is a piece of s***

"They can't patch it. Are you kidding me?" As previously stated, there is nothing to patch, the problem is on your end.

" But I can't post my load order because out of frustration I uninstalled my game and pretty much deleted the other mods on my load order." Then your posts were a waste of time and resources.
