shep8234 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 This is strictly pertaining to what books you have read ingame, I don't know if the rest of you pay attention to the many books scattered throughout Tamriel, but i was wondering has anyone acuired every single book in game or are some missing? I find myself grabbing every single book i come across, but i also can't remember what ones i have read and haven't read. Is there a way to tell what ones you have you already have knowledge of?
Lisnpuppy Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 There is a mod that makes the books glow if you have not read them, so you don't waste time picking them up http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10012/? Also several that will mark the books as read in your inventory so you will know and can sell or whatever http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20910/?
vram1974 Posted July 31, 2015 Posted July 31, 2015 Does anyone actually read the books? lol Aint nobody got time fo dat
shep8234 Posted July 31, 2015 Author Posted July 31, 2015 Thanks Guys, and lol yes Hand i do read the books, Sadly when i play games i get a bit of OCD.
saurusmaximus Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I had one playthrough where the house I was using had a huge amount of bookshelf space, so I tried to fill it up. I came close, I have no idea exactly how many books are in the game, but I had a lot. As far as reading them, I'd say I've read maybe a third of those, tops. I'd like to read more, I just never feel like it when I'm acutally playing the game. I guess that's what the Imperial Library is for.
cdcooley Posted August 1, 2015 Posted August 1, 2015 I love the books. I've read almost all of them, but I know there are still a few I haven't read (at least not in-game). I just came across a new one while playing last week. It's the one where an old adventurer explains his theory about the dragon claw and other puzzle locks being designed to keep the Draugr in rather than to keep living people out. It had always bothered me that the "puzzles" are so simplistic but that book gave me a new way of looking at the situation.
shep8234 Posted August 1, 2015 Author Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) Wow guys thanks for sharing, The main reason i read as many books as i can, is because i know some open hidden quest, and i like to squeeze out every single quest i can, and yeah Sauras I'm currently building my third home and i built a library for that sole purpose cause i have a ton of books in storage, i actually need to go through and clean them out, because i know i have more than one of the same copy. TheSpaceShuttleChallenger Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) Seems one of the few things that all of my characters have in common is a weird thing for books. They each have thousands of books. One is an accomplished book thief, another just kills people and takes their books. Yes, I have read all the books. Roscaria Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 I've got stacks of books and yes I do read them even in RL. My family are always complaining they are taking over the house. :)
Staff BigBizkit Posted August 5, 2015 Staff Posted August 5, 2015 I always get the nagging feeling that I am wasting my precious gaming time if I am not running around smashing draugr skulls or some such. I did read a select few. "Amongst the Draugr" for example. And another one about lockpicking.
