gumballthechewy
hello this is directed to the admin and/or the moderators: i would like to know whats stopping someone from logging in with a new e-mail and username after being banned? i highly doubt that your powers can stop some thing like that as its based on a username and password and e-mail system. Abramul
IP address, I suppose. Of course, that wouldn't stop someone from using a library, or some such.
Dark0ne
It takes me 30 seconds to ban someone. It takes a banned person much longer to make a new email address and account. I'm willing to waste their time.
Stampede
i highly doubt that your powers can stop some thing like that as its based on a username and password and e-mail system. Our e-powers have no limits!

Abramul
...or just he/she gets banned and comes back with a new account and gos around busniess as usual even thou he/she was banned? That might well be ignored, or ignored as long as the user doesn't say "I'm $BannedUser!" Stampede
or just he/she gets banned and comes back with a new account and gos around busniess as usual even thou he/she was banned? hummmm.... If by business as usual you mean behaving themselves and we don't find out that it's the same user...then who cares really?
gumballthechewy
then all im saying is the banning is kinda useless if some one who breaks the rules is just allowed to waltz back. like if someone is banned from france you dont see them tap-dancing down the streets of paris. Stampede
Banning is not useless, there are different ways to ban users, if someone insists on coming back to make trouble. We will get rid of them using more extensive methods. It's that simple. If somebody returns and keeps to themself and causes no problems without us discovering who it is (say they post from another PC) then honestly, so what? We only take measures if there's a problem. Like Dark0ne already stated, if they take the time to find their way back into the site, purely to troll. They can get banned again in a matter of seconds. Big deal. Trouble makers always get punished- end of story. I don't really understand why this is an issue with you?
Povuholo
People get banned so they won't cause anymore problems on the forum, not to punish them for that. Of course it does do that in an indirect way but... nevermind. If like Stampede said, a banned user is able to return to the forums in whatever way and behaves just fine, there's no problem. The banning was to stop the trolling/spamming, not to punish the user.
