KaelVirum
Ok guys, Here's what I've been working on as of late. I'm still not sure exactly how it will go as I've not gotten to a testing stage yet. I'm trying to make it possible for the player to transform into a Dragon Priest. I'm already almost done as far as the transformation itself goes, however, I would like to flesh out the perk tree (I'm just going to add it to the Vampire Perk Tree and add conditionals to each of the first perks to keep Vampire Lords from accessing my Tree and Dragon Priests from accessing the Vampire tree). I've got 4 of 11 perks plus their corresponding spell/abilities and I need help fleshing out the rest of the perk/spells/abilities. Here's what I've got: -Ancient's Ascenct: Boosts your Health, Magicka and Stamina by 50 Points. (pretty much a straight copy, I know)-Laas-Yah-Nir (Aura Whisper): Dragon Power: Your Voice is not a Shout, but a whisper, revealing the life forces of any and all.-Feim-Zii-Gron (Become Ethereal): Dragon Power: The Thu'um reaches out to the Void, changing your form to one that cannot harm, or be harmed, while health, magicka and stamina regenerate.-Tiid-Klo-Ul (Slow Time): Dragon Power: Shout at time, and command it to obey, as the world around you stands still. These were pretty easy since they are very similar the the Vampire Lord Night Powers and I figured a Dragon Priest could probably do much the same except that the powers would be shouts instead of "Magic". What I need now is help coming up with interesting and unique ideas for spells that would befit a Dragon Priest but are also relatively easy to pull off. Any and all suggestions will be considered seriously, even if the original poster wasn't serious. Also, any suggestions that are used will be given full credits on the download page with links to their works. Lastly, if you have an idea you would like to see implemented in some way, even if it isn't a spell, please feel free to suggest it as well. I'm always open to new ideas at any stage of a project. P.S. This is what my Dragon Priest looks like.
Kerberus14
Boring spells, lore unfriendly too, try just a bit harder, don't be summerset.
PetPet
"don't be summerset"...meaning?
Pegorino
Not all mods need to be lore friendly. Are anime mods lorefriendly? Yet they are here. Keep doing your great work, OP. I really like it. Maybe it could be a curse bestowed on the Dragonborn for misusing his Thu'um.
KaelVirum
Boring spells, lore unfriendly too, try just a bit harder, don't be summerset. While it pains me that you feel this way about my work, I'll defend your right to your opinion until the day I die. However, I do have one thing to say about this. Not lore friendly? So then Bethesda wasn't being true to their own "Lore" when they created Dragon Priests? It's in the game that "people" and especially "Dragonborn" people can and have become Dragon Priests so then how is this not "Lore Friendly"? Not all mods need to be lore friendly. Are anime mods lorefriendly?Yet they are here. Keep doing your great work, OP. I really like it. Maybe it could be a curse bestowed on the Dragonborn for misusing his Thu'um. That is a very interesting angle, Pegorino, I hadn't considered that. I will give it some consideration. Boombro
I think you misunderstood what Kerberus14 mean't. DP worshipped dragons as overlords, while the dragonborn is a dragon slayer, attacked by dragons and rules over dragons.Their powers are given by dragons, not perks. They have their form because they were buried for many years, only to be raised by Aludin as undead servants. You can't transform into one. I think to solve this, you will have to place a dragon npcs for the player to warship a dragon. The dragons can give perks to the players and a custom masks. How could one tell from my original post that this wasn't my intention from the start? To simply assume something without information is needless. While I do value his opinion and his right to his opinion that doesn't mean that just because I didn't say "How" I was going to initiate the Transformation that I'm not going to make it as Lore Friendly as possible. The reason I haven't mentioned anything about how this mod will actually play is because I haven't even gotten to a testing phase yet, so there IS no information other than what I've said. All I'm saying with this is: Take my work as what it is, a work in progress. The details of how it is to be implemented haven't even been thought of as of yet as I'm trying to get the mechanic down. To assume things about "what it will become" insults the very reason people make mods. Now, if he had said that AFTER I was completely finished with it and he had tried it out himself then the only response I would have been able to come back with is "I did the best I could to make it as Lore Friendly as possible". However, now that I am finished with that, I will say that you gave me an idea, Boombro, that actually helps make the whole "Perk Tree" thing a bit easier. And it is a very good idea that should be fairly easy to do. Thank you for that.
Tlaffoon
Your mod do what you want..if we can abide by tomas the train in skyrim I think a dragon priest transformation will be just fine to be honest. The perk tree sounds interesting though i'm not sure how dragon priest become stronger..maybe through human sacrifice? KaelVirum
Ok, guys, I'm still needing help with coming up with spells/general ideas for this mod. I've only created one other spell since yesterday because my brain is so frazzled from looking at code and trying to make sure everything is linked up right for this to actually work. Again, any and all suggestions will be considered seriously and in equal measure.
