Peregrine
My fan club president Some Guy has decided to start a "Peregrine for moderator" campaign. While I am reluctant to take on this burden, my duty to the People is clear. Dark0ne, I must ask you to allow me to serve my loyal followers as they desire. Return my moderator powers! With the impending death of the official forums, there will likely be an increase in the population of this forum. And while Switch is a decent and honorable man, he is far too soft on the trolls. Your neat and orderly forum is left to decay into chaos. Spam and hijackings are left out in the open, dirtying the polished order that your forum is entitled to. We have been too long without the swift and efficient justice of my iron-fisted rule. In the words of my loyal follower and devoted fan: "U should be a moderator and be pecky like switch! joking......altho switch does peck.....BTW I dont see Stampede much......" The People have spoken Dark0ne! You can not ignore the will of the People! Comrade Peregrine must rule again!
Abramul
I'd say wait until it's certain that the official fora have, in fact, prohibited links to mod databases. From the current (couple of hours ago) state of the thread, it looks like this may not be the case. It should be noted that the prohibition of religious debates does remove an obstacle from this idea... EDIT:I lol'd :DI thought "LOL!" posts were spam? Mithrandir8
EDIT:I lol'd :DI thought "LOL!" posts were spam?If you're the webmaster, you get special privileges like that. Anyway... I view the forums a lot and look into many mods and I constantly see Peregrine's comments that put the smackdown on those who flame or troll. Peregrine at least deserves some form of credit for all that work. However, if this means bumping another moderator, can't you just add an extra? Tiberiu911
With all this Peregrinish sarcasm and jokes, I can't tell if he's serious or not. But from what I have seen, Peregrinish humor is rarely used without a purpose. Good luck with that, personally, I don't think the current community is ready for the Hellbird. Povuholo
I'm gone for 5 days and Peregrine tries to take control... :P I don't think Some Guy's opinion is a good argument... Besides, if Peregrine would become a moderator again he's one of the first who will be eaten. Edit: He got his first strike now. Good luck with that, personally, I don't think the current community is ready for the Hellbird. Not again, that is. Peregrine's posts make sense and he uses good arguments all the time, but with an aggressive tone. Let's say people see Peregrine posting like that while he is a moderator. They will complain that while they get a strike for flaming and trolling, Peregrine is doing the same or even more and is getting away with it because he is a moderator. Which isn't really fair. I'm not sure. If Peregrine gets his mod powers back, I bet he'll be more careful this time. And while Switch is a decent and honorable man, he is far too soft on the trolls. Your neat and orderly forum is left to decay into chaos. Spam and hijackings are left out in the open, dirtying the polished order that your forum is entitled to.There's a report button, there is a strike system. People have been banned. And there will be more. I guess you are right about Switch, but he can change. But when someone breaks the rules multiple times (except for you and MB, I suppose) he or the other moderators will give him a strike. And: Peregrine your mod powers are never coming back. Get over it.
Peregrine
And I present a perfect example of why Peregrine should have his moderator powers returned: This post. i'm most hated? SWEET!! people are actually giving me attention! Back in the good old days, Peregine would have oppressed this post within minutes, and issued a strike (or maybe two) for spam and trolling. But now, nothing is done! Return Peregrine's power! Resume the anti-troll crusade! Actually I rarely (if ever) issued any strikes for flaming. Sure, plenty were issued for spam and trolling, but I actually encouraged flaming stupid people. Marxist ßastard
Then let's pass the... Goats will eatAnything, says my friendMike --- this Includes tins ofNigerianGuarana, and (oddly enough)Spinach. On that point, could the spinach transform them into some sort ofUber-goat? I mean, think about it.Really think. Spinach made Popeye quite strong andCeleritous (no pun intended, of course).Enough spinach could be aProblem.A real hazard, one might say.The benefits of banning it would beReal, andI would--- oh wait, I'm supposed to be describing a bill? Uh... This bill strips you of the illusion of having any rights whatsoever, to help the moderators with saving lost kittens from high tree branches andOther purposes. There, was that good? ...Act of 2007!
