Rooker75
I've been having connection issues to the Nexus the last few days. The connection keeps stalling, then getting reset before anything loads. It's the mod pages for (as far as I can tell) all the games, although the actual message board seems to be fine. I have satellite internet, which is extremely laggy due to the need for packets to go back and forth to orbit. Hughesnet speeds that up a bit by using proxy servers. If disable the proxy service in my modem, I can load the Nexus sites fine, but they're not loading with the proxy activated. And it seems to come and go, sometimes they load, sometimes they don't. This may be entirely my ISPs fault, since they did just have two long outages this month and they've never been the most competent, but if you've done something new to the servers or the cdn in the last week, it may be causing an issue for me. Rooker75
I assume admins can see my IP address when I post. If knowing the IP addresses I'm using helps, the 1st post was while using the proxy service. This post is with the proxy service turned off. StarMystyk
I've got the same issue with mod pages timing out, not loading most of the time. But, I'm on ordinary wireless. It's not school holidays here, it's not a peak time, so I don't know. It's only this site, though. I can get to, and around, the forums just fine.I thought it may've been my browser cache (It was almost at the allocated limit) but even after clearing that and cookies, clearing out temp files and running MBAM scans, the problem persists. It's only been happening this week for me.Often putting the URL into Down For Everyone it comes back and says it's just me. Maybe it's my ISP, I don't know. Edit: After another round of Googling I found a different site that, again, told me it's just me, lol. But, it also had some troubleshooting instructions that worked. Surprisingly. But, I would've tried anything at this point, lol. Basically, it said to flush the DNS cache in a command prompt. So, I'm all good, now :smile:Edit 2: Hmmm. Works for a little while, then goes back to not loading again. Edited August 27, 2015 by star-mystyk
irinotecan
Also been having this problem over the past couple of days, my ISP is HughesNet Satellite. Have to keep retrying the mod pages, sometimes I finally get through, only to start getting timeouts a short while later. Have not had connection issues with any other websites, nor this one prior to 2 or 3 days ago. Edit: Disabling web "acceleration" (caching) does not solve the issue. This sometimes solves problems with other download sites, but not Nexus. I am not sure what OP means by "proxy service" other than this web acceleration feature, that is the only thing I can turn on and off as far as I know... Rooker75
Yeah, that's what I mean. Web acceleration uses proxy servers. Disabling that does work for me when it starts happening. We're probably on different satellites and modems. Mine's an older HN9000 using the Spaceway satellite..
Dark0ne
I've just recently returned from a trip from the south west US (Cali, Arizona, Utah area) and noticed this issue myself. I am now back in the UK and no longer have this issue. It's extremely difficult for us to troubleshoot as it seems to only be happening to people in a very specific area of the world. It would be a great help if you could let us know your general area. A state would be enough, but a state and nearest city would be better. MotoSxorpio
Same issue, though it comes and goes, and I do not get timed out...the page eventually loads. Location: Springfield, Missouri.

Guest deleted2630050
I'm getting the same problem. These past few days, I've been dealing with either very slow speeds or I'm getting timed out. I'm in NY state and the closest city to me would be Albany.
