CommanderCrazy
Anton, that injury system originated in Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis. It was improved through the various other OFP games, then was adopted (and upgraded further) by Arma for the pure realism of it. But still, that sort of a system is kind of what I am thinking of, but maybe if theres a free roam type option (like in Invisible War, for example), you can pay for a patch up. I did see money in that video right? or was that the developer walkthrough of that level... Edited March 28, 2011 by CommanderCrazy

raatorotta
Ah, another great game made on unreal engine, Deus ex was great. Also have Invisible war. Loved the story of conspiracies on both games. Also i like all kind of Ufo and alien related stuff so Deus ex was good pick for me. There aren't very many games like that, only know few, like UFO trilogy and Area 51. There should be more games like that.
Povuholo
Deus Ex FTW. And this is hilarious: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxi7JRJrod4 BTW Eidos announced that they're making the highlight feature of HR a toggleable option. :)
ita
I hope they make that 3rd person perspective optional as well.
CommanderCrazy
As much as I'd like to agree to you Genocide, I have yet to see ANY form of cover system be done in first person, short of Crysis 2's buggy one that hardly worked (ended up shooting through the block of cover half the time -.- ). So really, dont expect this to be any different.
ita
First person games don't really need any elaborate cover systems anyway, simply having controls that allow the player to lean left or right works surprisingly well in many most games. CommanderCrazy
Genocide, I was having a look at some info on the game on Gamespot, and it turns out that when you lean around to shoot it will go back to first person.
Poulscath
I keep meaning to play the original Deus Ex with the new renderer and texture packs but keep getting distracted by my long list of other moddable games

That sounds even worse IMO. :PThere's a lot of unnecessary perspective shifting if the game is switching from 1st person (navigating normally in the environment) to 3rd person (taking cover behind walls et.c.) then switching back to 1st person when aiming around a corner. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I think the standard 1st person view in the first Deus Ex game worked just fine.
