I have bloodrayne and bloodrayne 2. Both good games. The problem is that bloodrayne 2 keeps lagging even i have system reqruiments. I have Nvidia Geforce 6600 graphic card and it should work just fine on that. I have installed new drivers for card but it don't help. Game just keeps lagging and it's not even related to graphic options of game. Anyone know what could help?

It may be like Fallout's stutter. I didn't really notice much outright lag though. Bloodrayne 2's a pretty old game, maybe it doesn't like your modern hardware/OS.

My computer is as old as that game. Maybe if i had newer computer game would work. I dunno. Too bad there is always some incombatibles, you can't fix.

If I remember rightly it wasn't well optimised at the time, if your PC is that old then it may just not be powerful enough. If memory serves there were a lot of reflections in the game, shiny floors ect, try turning them off.

Yes, i have tried game with different resolutions and graphical options. The lagg is always the same.

The game system reqruiments are:

Windows 98/ME/2000/XP

1Ghz processor

256MB RAM

200MB virtual memory (swap file)

4x CD-ROM

600MB free hard disc space

100% DirectX 8.1 compatible video card or higher

DirectX compliant sound card

Already installed DirectX 8.1 or higher

Also Geforce 6 series is supported.

My computer stats are higher in every category. I don't really get what can be wrong.

edit add: I think the problem is gone as soon as i get my new pc parts

  • 3 weeks later...
I'm bumping this old thread again, because the problem is still there. I have now new computer, but it seems game still laggs. It's the games camera that causes lagging by rolling around wild after movement. Camera won't stop very quick and is very difficult to handle. I have tried adjust it from options, but it wont affect cameras behaviour. Does anyone know a mod or patch or anything that fixes the camera?

You sure it's lag or is it just too fast? ;)

I remember Bloodrayne 2 had a pretty annoying camera and super-high mouse sensitivity... hmmm maybe I'll dig it out and install it again just to see.

New specs are:

Athlon II x2 3,0 GHz

Geforce GTX 460

2gb RAM (i know, i get more next month)

Theadron DD Soundcard

AsRock UCC M3 motherboard

2 old harddrives, western digital and some other.

Logitech keyboard

Microsoft Intellipoint mouse

DVD R/RW drive

The main problem is that camera keeps moving back and forth after mouse has stopped. I don't know if it's lagg or too fast, but if there is some way to stop camera acting like that, i would like to know.

If off now from computer few days because traveling during easter, but i answer you next week if you ask more or have solution.
