Enclave pretty much defeated at this point?

Regardless of what its made of eventually kinetic and thermic damage, from explosives and firearms will wear it down. Its just a matter of if its reasonable to expend the cost, manpower, munitions, logistics and time on it. Not to mention the need to overcome the outer defences, the posibilities of counter attacks or attacks from 3rd partys. A vertibird could easily be augmented to use a mini nuke launcher, and carry sufficent munitions to do it, however you will have to be within range of the enemy to do it properly. Or expend huge amounts of fuel. man power, and munitions trying to lucky shot it from high altitude, which would be largely ineffective and inaccurate.

Seeing as it was essentially the US's military headquarters (presumably all the way up till 2077), and taking into account the more-militaristic-than-OTL timeline of Fallout, it seems reasonable to assume that it's more than 'just' concrete.Mini-nukes being weightless is a game contrivance, mini-nukes most probably don't weigh nothing.

Its just a freaking building remember the huge hole left in the Pentagon on September 11th? Its not some heavily fortified base thats not how these buildings work.

The nearly Enclave base is across the god damn river. And now again referring to September 11th and the Pentagon is just a building an extremely old building thats been sitting around for 200 years in neglect after again another hole got blown in it(the main entrance remember?) which probably did all kinds of structural damage and then the brotherhood comes in and "fortifies" it with scrap metal.

I wouldnt be surprised if a grenade was all it took the level that rickety place. Its a really really really old building not a bunker or a Vault.

The Pentagon *is* heavily fortified, its the f***ing pentagon. The reason why there was a giant hole in the pentagon on September 11th was because a large, airline plane going very fast that was filled with explosive fuel, ran into the side of the building.

To be more exact, its atomics not nukes in fallout. Now the Pentagon is not made like an ordinary building, even the exterior structure is reinforced when laid, then the majority of its workings, are underground. Which is where you go with the BoS in FO3. It would take some serious doing to take it out, but anything can be done.

I would argue the assault on the purifier is accidentally timed with the Enclave assault as they are right ontop of the pentagon when it happens. But other than that yea, needs more Enclave aggression shown in game. Maybe a mod or two where the Enclave attack towns like rivet city and what not.
