Fallout10mm
I was just thinking about exactly what plays out ingame after the enclave take over the purifier: They set up impenetrable shields and fortify thier position. The brotherhood is unwilling to attack the enclave anywhere as they think the purifier is a pipedream until the Lone Wanderer tells them otherwise . Chances are while they were seen as a threat they were a non aggressive force that the enclave chose to ignore as they had more then enough problems to deal with (assaulting all those positions and more that you see in the wasteland), fighting off the super-mutants, talon company, raiders, deathclaws... right up until the brotherhood fires up liberty prime they thought they could just leave the brotherhood for later (boy scouts in antiquated power armor as eden says) to ether destroy or someway or another integrate into the enclave itself (as east coast enclave dont follow the same ideolgy as they did in FO2, as they do see at least SOME wastelanders as usefull)
SpartanA128
The Enclave is dead. There may be Remnants such as Arcade and Co. but they are never going to be a regional power again like they were in F2, or that bulls*** F3. Twice they've had their forces and main base of operations decimated, and twice they've had their leadership killed off. Hell, once Eden is dead, the highest ranking official is a Colonel for God's sake. Still, assuming that Outpost in Chicago is still functioning, there's a possibility of them appearing in another game. Enclave Vs the Mid-Western Brotherhood is something I'd pay to see. apixaez
It's rather hard to see a faction disappear solely on the loss of 2 bases .. and saying their highest ranking officer would be just a Colonel is doubtful aswell .. We're talking about the former government spread out over ALL of the US .. you know how many shelters and other places you can make to hide in? And just lay low in the meantime, biding your time .. Not to mention they had working communication with each other .. at least you'd think they have a means to communicate if you can contact them by "accident" in FO2 .. BUT I do doubt they'll be a big faction again in the future .. or if anything it might be fun to like start off from their side and you can choose to ally yourself with another faction along the way .. :)

We're talking about the former government spread out over ALL of the US .. you know how many shelters and other places you can make to hide in? Do you know how many of those got blown to **** by the bombs? And how many of those lost contact with the rest of the American gov and became like the BoS which were originally American military? Do you know how many Enclave bases got lost in all of Fallout? Its actually 4. The Chicago base is the last foreseeable location of the Enclave and considering the info we can gather from ED-E's repairs and them not knowing that Navarro got blown up OR simply making the eyebot not a priority means that they probably arent in good shape. Also note how they said Outpost not base. They probably arent any bigger then the Jackals or Vipers at this point. Better equipped sure. Also again the Enclave are the bad guys. They are evil in fact they pushed America into a nuclear war with China as part of a project thats disturbingly similar to the Master Race(Blonde hair blue eyes.) concept. minngarm
Theres also the prospect of "sleepers" either by design or turn of fate, such as the old lady in Novac, who was with the Enclave before but after the fall set out to have her own life. I'm sure there are a number of those all over the nation now, and theres always the chance that if the call to arms sounds and a Enclave force shows they would move to rejoin the greater mass of its former glory. ModelV
She isnt a "sleeper" shes one of the group of Enclave refugees residing in the Mojave. The Remnants. Again not a real force just one heavily equipped squad of senior citizens. Im surprised we dont hear more Old jokes about them like one of them falling asleep while firing a machinegun. I believe he meant it figuratively. The Enclave survivors mostly integrated into NCR and/or went into hiding. Assuming they are sufficiently motivated, we might find there are more of them than was originally believed. Just throwing that out there. :P
ModelV
Beware of the ELDERY ARMIES!!! *nnnnffffgh* huh wha? Is it bingo time?
EnclaveCommando
I believe we will see them again, due to the fact that the Most advanced and well organized faction in the fallout world (also the American goverment) would plan for situations like these. beng as they did venture out, they could have easily made contact with other regional bases or outposts, besides their are TONS of military installations all over, whos to say they arent in Area 51 or Fort Bragg or many other bases including canada. The Remnants dont know what happen to the rest it could easily be implemented in and i think should but of course would need more factions like New vegas, NCR, Legion, New Vegas populace all bumping heads. Cant have them return without some type of plot emergence because we dont want that disaster of FO3 which was rediculous and completely unbelieveable (no 19 year old kid can take on special forces trained commandos) an army none the less. ModelV
Again the problem is the majority of places they could hideout at were all blasted to hell by the bombs. We are really starting to run out of places for them to hide and build up an army as not just any base will do for you to be able to breed and build an army. Plus the Enclave has a very bad communication structure and even the east coast base doesnt know whats going on in the west coast. Its canon that the Enclave at the point right before the war were very very big and widespread but after the bombs fell they all lost contact with each other and only a few major installations actually went with the Enclave's plans. Yes we will see the Enclave again thats a fact. Will they be of any serious significance? No.
