ninja_lord666
At my last count, we have 319574 members who have not made a single post. Granted, some are new and have only joined in this past week, but still, where is everybody? I say, what is the point of joining, if you're not even going to post? Bragging rights? "Hey look, dude! I'm, like, on a forum!" "What's that?""I don't know...""Well have you posted?""No""COOL!" ...now I know there may be some logical reasons. Take me for example, I joined last year in august. I was trying to download a mod for Oblivion, but I got a message saying I needed to be a member. I joined because it was free and preceded to download many more mods. I didn't realise there was a forum, but when I did find out, I didn't really want to be in a forum. Recently, I've had a change of heart and started posting (obviously).I know that probably there are quite a few who joined for the same reason, but I'm sure many didn't have any real reason. They just got bored one afternoon. What are your opinions?
Vagrant0
I would guess most of the members join simply to download mods. Having a 3 post requirement would probably prove this, and drive the staff insane with having to moderate all the garbage posts, but again, proves it. There are however atleast a couple people who simply read, but don't post, or have registered repeatedly because they cleaned their cookies and forgot their password/e-mail. This is especially true of the younger members, not to single out a specific group of people, but it is plain to see. I'll admit that I'm guilty of breaking a few of the forum's rules (threadromancy being the latest offence), but I try to keep myself in line as a mature member to set a good example for those that do need to have a decent role model. Dark0ne
You'll also find that many people actively participate in these forums without even knowing it when they add comments to files.

I must say I like the new look of the game-specific sites (TES Source really is the only I ever go on). I like that a member's avatar shows up in the comments on the mod page now. All in all, I generally like what your doing for your sites, Dark0ne. Keep up the good work.

Member avatars should never show up in comments, members who never post on the forums do not deserve to have avatars. They don't even deserve names, they should be just one more anonymous and worthless minion of the Almighty Hellbird. By the way, Dark0ne is doing an awful job of running these sites. And you aren't going to get yourself admin status by being a mindless fanboy.

Wow, I knew you were rather negative Peregrine, but I never thought you were foolhardy, insulting the administrator of the forum...you're risking getting banned. Although, I do agree with some of that first part. Members who join for no reason don't deserve recognition. They shouldn't be allowed to stay. Ban them I say! It sure would reduce the amount of worthless profiles one needs to sift through when trying to find someone... I do like these sites. The kudos system is a little...far out there, and, at first, the navigation was a little confusing, but I got used to it. Overall, it's not too bad--better than most sites. And watch Peregrine's sarcasm, don't take everything he says too seriously.

And watch Peregrine's sarcasm, don't take everything he says too seriously.I'm starting to realize that now. I kinda got into a bit of a quarrel with him the past couple of days, but I think I'm partly to blame, cuz I actually felt rather cranky this past week. I kinda like the idea of a 3 post minimum on these forums (not on the comment page), but then again, how would the moderators be able to cope with all the spam that may very well clutter up the forums  ? Peregrine
And watch Peregrine's sarcasm, don't take everything he says too seriously. I'm glad someone around here has a little common sense.... For those who don't get it, rob_b complained about how I was unfairly picking on him and carrying on some kind of vendetta because I disagreed with something he posted. So to make him feel better and highlight the sillyness of his persecution complex, I found his last five or so posts and disagreed with them as well. I have no real comment on how Dark0ne is running the site, I don't even look at the site outside of the forums.
