mlee3141
Starting at around 4:00pm on Pacific Standard time, the entire network of Nexus sites invariably enters an infinite loading screen whenever I try to load any page. The issue persists until at least 11:00pm, and has been going on for about three nights now. Just thought you should be aware of this; hope it's fixed soon. Also, I've already tried clearing my browser cache, and restarting my router to no avail.
bben46
Are you having problems with any other sites during that time frame? As we are not seeing this from anyone else, and we do have a lot of members in that geographical area, I suspect it is not on our end.You have already done some of what I would have suggested. That time frame is the period of max internet use for your area. Between when everyone comes home from work and school until most go to bed. Could it be you are being flooded by other users on the same local trunk? Another possibility - some one could be hijacking your router and doing massive downloads during that time - check your router security settings, and change the router password. just in case. Check with any other legitimate users on that router to be sure they are not hogging your bandwidth also. I have seen this in places like frat houses where there are a dozen users and one is running a site that has a lot of use - such as an on line game server. If you are not sure if someone else in your house is hogging the router, unplug it and listen for the scream.
AurianaValoria1
I have been having the exact same issue; it's just on the Nexus...no other websites. For a couple of hours a day, the pages on the forums and the mod sites are reduced to blank white screens that will never properly load. jamuniz3
I've had the same problem, except I'm in Texas. The outage hours I've seen are from about 10pm till 2 or 3 am. They might be longer, but that's when I give up and go to bed. Our router is secure and everyone else with access to it is asleep by midnight. Cleared the caches and did all that and I've done big downloads from other sites with no issues, so it's just the Nexus. . . every night this week. DrakeTheDragon
There's been a short downtime for me as well a couple hours ago, but it only lasted for about an hour and it was only the forums. The Nexus file sites I could still access fine all the time. Coincidentally I was actually just writing a reply to a user asking about a possible IP ban as they couldn't load any of the file sites pages anymore, and was informing them it's more likely rather a connection issue somewhere between them and the Nexus servers, instructing them how to do a trace route to find out where that issue is located at, and after I performed a file site trace route as an example copy&paste quite fine, I also added another trace route to the forums in afterwards, which died at like the last hop before the final server (last node reached was 77.72.0.6 (77.72.0.6)). I was already wondering what that could possibly be about, but then the page went offline once I submitted my post and didn't come back for about an hour anymore. My post didn't go through, for what it's worth. So that explained the DNS route hopping into a dead end out of nowhere.
SineWaveDrox
I've been having this problem for several days as well. I don't know the exact time of the evening the issue seems to start with me, but I am having the issue right now (I'll be surprised if this post actually posts). For me, it seems to start sometime in the late afternoon and last into the early morning (I'm in the Pacific Time zone, west coast of the US), effecting forums and files sites. Any other time, the site works normally without issue.
Squeakums
Having the same problem. I can access with my phone through 3G/LTE, but I get only infinite loading screens on my gaming rig or on my phone via WiFi. This has been happening for the last three night, but I have been at work so I can't check during the day. I have tried different browsers, flushing the DNS, using a different DNS, etc to no avail. Infuriating to say the least.I am in Mississippi and AT&T Uverse is my ISP. I just want my mods!!! Sad face. TL;DR Same problem from Mississippi. lorca1
Same issue here and I live in Northern California. For 3 days now Nexus gets stuck in loading. The reason why I was able to comment here is because I'm using a proxy site call: https://www.proxysite.com/ For those who want a temporary fix type the nexus url in there and you're good to go - or so I thought. Some buttons don't work. Edited October 9, 2015 by lorca1
GothikaGeist
Same issue here, Southern California, Los Angeles. Few days in a row now. The strange thing is that that my PC (Ethernet) refuses to load the Nexus Sites (Forums and Mods) but both sites are fully functional using the same router and wifi connection on my tablet. I have AT&T uVerse. Edit: I also noticed a bunch of people commenting over at isitdownrightnow.com having the same issue.
