RaijuAayai
Sorry to bother you all. I just felt a need to play Skyrim recently, and when I started the game, there were these red diamonds floating everywhere with white exclamation points on them. I can't see chests or rabbits, and they're scattered around the world. I have tried installing an earlier version of NMM, and that didn't fix it. I uninstalled and reinstalled my mods several times, and that didn't work. I uninstalled Skyrim itself and reinstalled - that also didn't help. I played the game without mods, and it's still there. I started a new game, and they're there - so no corrupt saves. The game still kinda works, but I can't open chests and such, and it breaks the immersion. Is there a way to fix this? I'm at my wits end! Here is the link to the screenshot: http://postimg.org/image/vmc1zej93/ Thank you so much! ~Raiju
Rabbit1251
Missing meshes. Verify integrity of game cache. 1.Load Steam.2.From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.3.Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache button.4.Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.5.Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit. RaijuAayai
Sorry to bother once again. I tried to verify the integrity, and it came up with "1 file is missing, it will be reacquired" - so, I wait, and then start up the game. It still has those blocks. I tried it a few more times, but it still isn't fixing it.
iXenite
Try uninstalling all your mods, and then - uninstall Skyrim completely. Then, reinstall Skyrim and create a brand new save. Maybe this will solve your issue. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is you have something missing - like one of your mods is missing some textures/meshes. As DaddyDirection says one of the mods that you installed is missing it's meshes. Try uninstalling your mods one at a time until the problem disappears. That would be the mod causing the trouble. RaijuAayai
I've inactivated all my mods, and those boxes are still there. Is there a way I can redownload meshes?
SMB92
Find out which meah that is, you might be able to by using the console and clixking on it a few times, if it gives you a code that starts with anything other than 00 but not ff, then you found the culprit mod, just match those first to characters to the mod in load order. If it is ff or 00, then you have to figure out which resource that is, it looks like a rock or plant or something. Wahtever mod you have touching that hasnt downloaded properly or hasnt downloaded the main package. Edit - could be a botched install of SMIM or something. RaijuAayai
Looks like the missing texture reads '000bb971'. It's a Skyrim vanilla texture, I believe. I already reinstalled Skyrim, and that didn't seem to fix it. Is there a mod that will give me new textures for that kind of stuff without killing performance? That might be the easiest fix at this point.
iXenite
Could running Wrye Bash help? It could see if he is missing any files his textures are reliant on I suppose. As for the "non performance killing textures" I suppose you could just use the optimized Vanilla textures mod? Optimized Vanilla Textures:http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57353/? SMB92
Tesvedit would be the go, would take a bit of searching to see what esp is changing these models. Well not really if you know a rabbit is missing youd just go under the creature category and see if a mod is touching it. Edit - they arent missing textures, they are missing meshes. Textures dont point to meshes but rather the other way. Otherwise you would see a purple or black model on screen. Esps can change the model path, you have to be missing a mesh pack.
