Not really an original thread, but...

 

What's on your desktop? Not your computer desktop, your desktop with the computer on it. Do you understand? Good.

 

Myself: a monitor and two speakers, A dutch book, a magnet, one euro, a tv remote control, a notebook and pencil used for mod notes, a phone and a cd of Muse.

My computers are under the table I work at. So on top sits the monitor (speakers built in). A largish photograph album to raise the monitor to best height for the seat.

 

Also, keyboard, cordless mouse, red pen, blue marker pen, stapler, opal and diamond ring, window cleaning fluid and furniture polish.

My monitor, keyboard, mouse, mouse mat, mic, iPod, lamp, 3 of my 5 speakers, aftershave, anti-persiperant, "Secret Agent" hair product, "Wind-Down" hair product, Hair Texturising Paste, Witch clear pore gel, dog biscuits, Princess Mononoke DVD case, half full glass of water, empty milky bar buttons wrapper, 3 empty Mars wrappers, a mini Creme Egg wrapper, some bubble wrap, a box full of chocolate cake, a plate with some half eaten pizza, my mobile phone, some random components from a wardrobe I put-up the other day, a notepad and a tissue.

A monitor, two speakers, a ViewSonic pocket pc, a mouse pad with a picture of a kitty, a mouse, a key board, the computer, and a crappy American flag I made one day just for the H377 of it. I have two stands NEAR my desktop with more: left: bfme2 rotwk, a cup thingy so I don't get a ring on the desk, Shivering Ilses, some maps I made for Descent and have to transfer to the computer, and a printer; right: two pens, two post-it note pads, a pocket pc case, and my sister's camera with a cord.

A monitor, 12in pheonix gold sub, stereo tower, maranz amp, battle field 2 delux, sims2+all the expansions, oblivion, SI, G7 logitec cordless mouse, siatec eclipse keyboard, a cd rack, too many cd's to count, a (really) smelly bag of doritoes, sunglasses, a half eaten candy bar (can't tell what kind anymore), wireless router, my mac laptop, laptop power cord, bottle of coke, a sock (don't ask), my bath towel from two days ago (on top of the sub), ten pounds of dust, a roll of ducttape, four pens (one broken, and one with no ink), the latest issue of pc gamer, my (old) dismantled lightscribe drive, my (new) external lightscribe drive, band of brothers box-set, age of empires iii, the expansion for age three, calculus textbook, computer science textbook, a bottle of axe spray, a dirty plate, and a whole lot more junk.

Well this has been a disturbing topic thus far. :P I think spectre wins the prize for dirtiest desk at this point, with Dark0ne in close second. ;)

 

Lessee *looks around* currently, my monitor (19" LCD, I wuv it), my wireless Microsoft optical mouse complete with ancient Everquest mousemat which is curling up round the edges where it's so old (it's the only mat I've been able to find that won't set the infra-red off), the wireless receiver for said mouse, two of my three Labtec speakers, the volume control, my dusty Acer keyboard, a few papers, a 128MB USB key, a PC Gamer demo disk, Far Cry game box, an NVIDIA "The way it's meant to be played" (that bit always cracks me up) game advertisement magazine that fell out of my PC Gamer the other day... oh, and a book, "Build Your Own Database Driven Website using PHP & MySQL" (Sitepoint don't believe in short book titles) which I'm slowly working my way through. I'll program my own Source site yet!

I've got my 17" Hewlett-Packard Pavilion mx703 CRT monitor, a pair of stereo PC speakers (with a tiny 2.5" sub :P ), my HP PSC 1210 "All-in-One" printer (I'm out of ink tho :mellow: ), a clear glass vase (or something you might put flowers, not sure) with a miniature Canadian flag :D , a picture of my aunt and uncle (may they rest in peace :closedeyes: ) holding me when I was 1 yr old, a stuffed little monkey and polar bear, a stick of Blistex (and it's flavoured too :D ), my lamp, a stack of 50 CD-Rs (the 700MB ones), notepad, pencil, a box of 4.5cm pellets (useful for killing gophers with ;) ), papers and notes and whatnot (neatly piled somewhat), instruction manuals for a couple of Super Mario Bros. games (SMB3, SM-AS, SMW, and SMW2:YI), my Creative Zen V 4GB MP3 player, a USB cabel for my Zen V, a TV remote, a wipe cloth for my glasses (yes, I'm a four-eyed nerd :dry: ), various receipts of varying amounts, one of the two cordless phones we have, a napkin with some (as of yet) unidentified crumbs :huh: , a pack of Halls Oxygens, a coaster with my cup o' joe on it, and Quake 4, Call of Duty 2, and the Knights of the Nine game cases neatly stacked.
