DoctorKaizeld
so i happened to get 2 (currently) extra copies of Fallout 4 for Steam. well this gave me the idea that i should give one away to the Nexus members, but i would like to hold a lottery of sorts to do so. i was wondering if this would be okay or not though, as i am currently unaware what the staffs standing is on this kind of thing. i should mention i will not charge money nor will anyone be required to give me anything. the only transaction will be a simple trade through steam to the winner. so would this be okay? or should i just keep the extra copy for the lottery im working on for my gaming community IRONFIST? Jokerine
I would love to get into this! If it's a giveaway without money involved I don't think there will be an issue. So how do I get into the draw? :woot: EDIT: Now I realize I probably sound a bit too eager. Sorry! But yeah, as long as there won't be any cash happenings I'm pretty sure it would be OK. But I ain't no moderator so... Edited November 4, 2015 by Jokerine
DoctorKaizeld
yeah i want to make sure it's cool with the staff before i post about it. i was thinking that the only actual rules would be that you have to pass certain criteria:1) must make a comment on the relevant thread2) must have a Steam account3a) must have at least 30 active posts on the forums-or-3b)must have a mod with at least 10 endorsements on the site the first one seems obvious but 3a and 3b are there as more of a filter to prevent people from creating alternate accounts to try and get their name in multiple times. you only need one of them though. i only added the mod one because some modders dont comment often on the forums. oh and was thinking of doing it in December. While I appreciate your generosity and your desire to give the game to productive members of the site, I can see this leading to empty posting to increase the number of postings to meet the criteria and the making of puppet accounts and meaningless endorsements. I would think posting in the thread would be enough and (confirmed via a third-party) that they have a Steam account since it will (I assume) be a digital Steam Gift. You don' t want folks posting their Steam account all over the thread. Whatever happens I thank you again on your generosity.
