jones177
This type of issue isn't about cleaning files or load lists. It is about power. Even if you have an i7 & 4gb video card you will have problems with your list. You need to make choices about the type of game you want to play with your hardware. For example I use a i7 & GTX 980 ti & play a 1440 resolution. If I was playing at 1080 I would use a 980. The most important part of the game to me is large battles with lots of NPCs. I use lots of mod to add NPCs to the game. With all these NPCs & mods like Frost fall running I need to stay away from mods that compete for CPU time like Static mesh & clutter mods. This & keeping the frame rate close to 60 stops the scripts from backing up. I can us ENB without DoF & still maintain close to 60fps so it & a few textures are all the pretty in the landscape I can afford. Even without texture packs I use 3.1 to 4.1 VRAM max depending on which part of the map I am on. The NPCs eat up a lot of resources. Followers eat up the most since I give them 4k armor & body textures. To run your load list I would have to get rid of at least 50% of the NPCs I have in the game & would have to be happy with playing in the low 40s. To get better frame rate with my ENB setup I would have to overclock my CPU,GPU & possibly ram. Modding this game is a bit of an art form. You have to get the most out of your hardware & work around the limitations in the game. Getting it right is the thing of beauty. There are people on this forum that are really good at this. If I were you I would do searches on this topic. I can only recommend that you use Skyrim Performance Monitor to see what your hardware is doing. sedolima
thanks for the replay i installed the program you mentioned my ram usage never passed 3.1 gb it was 2.8 gb at max but ı still get ctd when ı enter the tavern in riften ı don't think my game is crashing because of to much ram usage it is something else. my computers spec are gtx970 ,i74790 and 16 gb ram
LeddBate
A heavily modded Skyrim (or most any game for that matter) relies on the memory buffer in your GPU more than anything else, which is what I believe jones177 was actually referring to, not your regular RAM. Several of the mods you have will ask you for the resolution level you want them at when you install them. (Low, medium or high.) If you set them mostly to high, and your GPU only has 2gb of GDDR5 memory (or less) then that is a likely cause for your CTD issues. jones177
I ran a GTX 970 for a while & used about the same amount of VRAM with no problem. If you are having problems going through doors you may need to ditch SSME & use the SKSE patch. Have it set at DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 & ScrapHeapSizeMB=256. You will also need to run Memory Blocks Log http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50471/? to test. Later
Darkened666
Modding can take up to two to three weeks to make it work properly. So my advice is to take everything slowly and read the mod description carefully. For me it took only 1 week because I've been modding Skyrim for couple years so me it is "pretty" easy. sedolima
thx for the help everybody i finally realized all those 2k texture mods causing the problem, probably ı reached the game's limit so i uninstall the 2k texture mod and replaced it with the lite version now ı can add armor texture mods with out problems and crashing. ı have two questions thou, is bethesda high res texture dlc is better looking then 2k textures lite version? And my second question is, is there way to break the games limit and add many high res texture packs as ı want ? Novem99
is there way to break the games limit and add many high res texture packs as ı want ? There is no limit for texture packs. If your hardware is powerful enough you can use all of the texture packs available here. is bethesda high res texture dlc is better looking then 2k textures lite version? No but 2K lite version only contains 623 files. The Bethesda HD DLC has 14.614 files. In other words: not even 5% of the textures of the HD DLC are covered by 2K lite version.
