Fromanjoe
This is a bit of a doozy but ever since the reveal at E3 ive been pondering on what sort of mods I would want. A great many of these might need F4SE to be made first.- MCM menu type setup.Mods with options in them are pretty great because you don't need to restart the game to change an ini file or be forced to sick with an option. If possible having it integrated with the next two would be fantastic.- New hud because the default one looks very out of place. The current hud looks very bad, like they had an intern design it on break. it may be an attempt at minimalistic design but that doesnt fit fallout's asthetic at all. Allowing for a smaller font and a search/sort function in the pipboy menu would be highly appreciated.- Recreate the old dialouge system or at least have the text and or tone written out for the choices.Having the choices so dumbed down has the potential to be frustrating if the player misinterprets them.- Import, chop apart and possibly retexture when needed the Borderlands, Metro , Destiny and other weapon parts to be added to the part pool.More possibilities the better I say and particularly the metro guns have the old and busted aesthetic that looks great in fallout. That being said real gun weapon parts would be fun too.- Ammo types.Using the code for weapon and power armor customization it might be possible to cobble together ways to customize ammo. Changing bullet material types, shapes, gunpowder etc.- More armor options. The amount of variations for armor addons now especially since they made layered armor the default setup.- Hardcore mode.Needing to eat, drink and sleep would add immersion to me.- Alternate start mod. This may be a bit harder cause your character is pretty embedded in the story this time around. For roleplaying reasons it would be nice if you could be more of who you want your character to be- More things to build with in the settlement sets and more places to build.I'm sure I don't need to mention this one cause player houses are pretty popular in the previous bethesda games.- Something to change crits back into random chance or make it so they can be random too.Since its pretty fuzzy on how luck works at this point in time I'm not sure of how applicable this is- Wild wasteland type mod with a bunch of strange or funny things happening everywhere. What can I say, it was a very charming part of NV.- Underwater content.Since about 1/3 of the map is covered in water if there isn't a large amount of underwater content or islands there should be some mod(s) to make use of that. Sunken towns, crashed boats and planes, krakens etc.- New lockpicking and hacking minigames. It would be very cool if there was a mod that randomly picked between a small pool of different minigames. Two examples I came up with was a safe cracking minigame where you use sound (or a visualization of it for the hearing impaired) to crack the combination on a lock. For hacking say you open the back of the computer and need to rewire it with something that looks like a switchboard, you test to see if the circuits valid and if it isn't it burns out one of three chips, if you fail 3 times your locked out.- More game carts/journalsWouldn't it be interesting to see what modders come up with for the ingame cartridges and it would be a neat collectibles mod. Imagine finding part of a mini rpg series inside the game and you hunt across the wasteland to find the other parts to find out the ending.- Humorous loading screen messages.I really enjoyed uncle sheo's hints and tips in skyrim and I feel the dark humor in the fallout games would work well with these. JianXintou
The hair physics are not Witcher 3 bouncing about all the time and real hair doesn't actually do that so I am happy with the hair physics I have seen so far.Agreed, the kinda stuff that happens in games like Witcher and TB3 seems "fancy" but it's not like it's very realistic. What I want to see is a dialogue system revamp. NO DIALOGUE WHEEL! A simple proper list on the bottom of the screen with better descriptions and what emotion the line will be delivered in. Dialogue in Mass Effect was the one feature I hated in that game, I couldn't talk to Kaiden when playing as femshep because you never know what's going to be "lets go to my room and see if we can rock the ship off course from my bed" to "whats your opinion on the crew". Then one option is happy and one is angry and no way to know which one it is.man im with you. i actually already suggested it. i was fine with the old system i freakin hate dialog wheels. With so much recorded dialogue I find this mod to be practically impossible because they would have to get a copy of EVERY viable option to show up and thats just the start of it. So much time and effort would have to go into this mod that I don't ever see if happening. I don't see how that is such a gigantic issue, I mean mechanically you're limited to the 4 responses either way (unless you change interactions with the NPCs, not entirely sure about this with thos whole "branched out dialogue" system) but you could probably implement a list system where you can view your full response before saying it. The lines are already there in the general subtitles to do so. I would already welcoming something like that very much because it gives me a better access to what my PC is going to say. Yeah, no s#*!. Did you actually read what I said? I said you can make a mod where you can actually view your full responses, i.e. like it was in previous FO games. You will just likely be limited to the 4 responses that you have with the wheel - which I don't necessarily see as a huge issue since you can still see the full dialogue - you just don't have as many options to respond to one part of the conversation if the fact is true that the other options are basically just options that follow the options before. This basically means that you do not have dialogue like in ME. I completely understand why people don't like that kind of dialogue and I think even for ME that dialogue system was terrible (together with the increasingly terrible story and cramming tropey s#*! into it). Like, what may have been option 7 before on a list to choose from may now be just part of a different branch of the dialogue choices after the NPC has given an answer. I just fail to see which specific point you're trying to make since it seemed like you were just repeating what you said earlier. The somewhat incoherent sentence structure didn't really help, either.
