"Can you run it" doesnt work for me, can you tell me if my laptop can run it? I already bought the game but I do not trust my laptop. i7 3630QM CPU 2.40 ghz (8 CPUs) 2.40 ghz , 8 gb ram, GeForce GTX 675m.

you'll be struggling bro. Low settings most likely.

Hey guys,

I know the requirements to run Fallout 4 but I dont know of their truth, or how it looks in detail.

I think I can run it without problems on medium, but I want a beatuful, atmospheric game.

So what can I downgrade for good performance and a good looking game?

My ideas:

- AA on medium/low

- VSync off

- Shadows on low (in my opinion I dont need shadows on max for a good looking game)

My Specs:

Nvidia GeForce GTX 760

i5-4570 CPU 3.2GHz

8 GB RAM

WIN 7 64 bit

What do you think, can I run it on max settings, just without the options I said above?

Hmm, time for a new rig? I'll definitely get a desktop next time, but how does my current laptop look?

i7 4810MQ rated at 2.8 GHz, but it's supposed to have a "turbo" feature and I have a monitor that says the frequency is 3600MHz. GTX880m, 8gb vid and 24gb system ram.

You might be surprised. It could handle medium high to very high depending on how well the game is optimized and what settings you tweek. Turning shadows down or off will likely help immensely, its how I get skyrim to run on high on my laptop despite it only wanting to run on medium.

The processor ought to work for lowish settings, your monitor frequecy really doesn't matter in terms of playing the game, your video card does not have 8 gigs of ram, and I'm not sure where you got 24 gigs of system of ram perhaps you meant 2.4? If your ram is actually 2.4 you're never going to run the game so I suggest you look at your specs again.

The monitor is a cpu monitor and yeah, I paid extra for the stupid amount Vram and system ram. I guess my weak link is the cpu.

Well in that case it'll run but at what settings I'm not really sure that's an odd set up.

Thanks for the replies gunslinger! Not really that tech savvy. Most of the problems I had with the Fallout games were linked to a lack of memory so when i bought my current rig i made sure to upgrade all the memory stuff. No problems so far with current gen games(Witcher3 on high), but i think Fallout4 is going to choke my cpu.
