dissentuk
Is it possible to create a fog of war mod for fallout without the geck or are mods mostly limited to texture stuff ect? Thanks
Boombro
What's that? Is that RPG feature that hides the ground?
Nystel
It is a feature that hids ground but that is not what he is talking about. In FO4, you will notice on your little horizontal map hud, you will see icons on it representing different types of locations. What I believe the OP is saying is, we should not see what type of location is there only that there is something there. This mechanic was in FO3 and FONV. They just changed it in FO4. dissentuk
sorry, I wasn't particularly clear. What I meant is that the map is blank and shows nothing until you've actually been there, no markers either. I always felt that it adds a nice level of realism to games if you don't know the complete lay of the land when you start the game. I just wasn't sure if that was possible without the geck. AciesSententia
One thing I've always had an issue with (in Fallout vs Skyrim), is how gorgeous (and seemingly bird's eye view/3D) the Skyrim map is compared to the Pipboy's map. How soon do you think we could have a modded version of the Fallout 4 commonwealth?
Wolfmod
I did notice that unlike previous fallouts, Four doesn't seem to have a "local map" function, or have I simply missed it somehow?
Timmiii
local map is on the pipboyI found it just looking through the pipboy selections
DarkPurity
The reason the player knows what is there in 4 is because for the first time, the protagonist is established to have lived there before the war. (S)He reasonably knows what a jagged building on the horizon probably used to be.
