I think too many people only remember what they wanted F03 And NV to be in their imagination and forgot what they were actually like and then superimpose that onto a standard of F4 + 200 epics points. It's really in many ways a great game which will of course only get better with mods. If you go in with a glass is half full attitude you will probably have a blast.

Fallout New Vegas had many things implemented that came from popular Fallout 3 mods.

Ironsights and Primary Needs for example.

That made a huge difference and people who liked those kind of things in Fallout 3 already had a lot more reasons to like Fallout New Vegas.

Now in Fallout 4 they changed a lot of things and people hate it. XD

To be honest some design choices are pretty stupid, but so far I don't dislike the talking player character and the conversation system.

In fact I think they absolutely needed to change something about it.

The conversation systems of Fallout 3 and New Vegas are pretty antique.

Just a list of text to choose. I mean come on.

The new system may be limited, sure, but I think it can be improved.

Maybe when we can work on the scripts we can increase the number of options somehow for quest mods.

You can, all you have to do is add one that says more> then more. It done in Skyrim too and need no scripts.

Unless of course all four options are already used up by other vanilla options.t hanyou have ot overwrite one and keep recursively adding m ore "More" buttons. I'm also not sure multiple mods couold use the "More" option. this also presents ap roblem because of the voiced player hcractar. fixing the weel on its own may have a better solution like being able to "Scroll" thorugh the wheel. like having it role so you can infinatley add more dialogue but that owuld require a system closer to BioWare where it's an actual wheel instead of each dialogue option being mapped to a button.

That easy to mange.

Like Skyui, a modder can make a more test framework for others to mod upon.

that doesn't solve hte problem. of the situatin where all the buttons are already mapped ot an option int he base game and you have to replace one there's also the issue that only about four mods max canuse it. A better situation would be if you ditched the arrow-key/face button system and swithced to an acutal wheel that you can infinatly scroll through or "roll" Say what youi will about a treditoinal dialogue box/window but it's nowhere near as limited as the current wheel systems.

That what I meant. Sorry for my poor wording.

The other issue is voice acting.

Simple, they will be unvoiced, or a voice actor with the same voice will voice them.

There is no need to change all the voice files, expect if you want them to sound the same.

Unvoiced dialogue only really works for me if there is a way to "pauyse" the dialogue soo you can read it at your own pace rather than hang ito n a fixed timer. previous games were good about this. I odn't see how it will work in this installment.

Wait, there is a timer?

You can use use the console to pause it.
