EmperorsGaming
Forget the Minutemen, forget saving anyone, Dogmeat and I are gonna paint the Commonwealth red. Gonna aim for the deadliest of deadly abilities and loadouts. I'm thinking a mix of melee/small fire arms. Occassionally pulling out the big guns and power armor when it's absolutely needed. Well maybe I'll spruce up Sanctuary a little... It's good to have those trade caravans coming in.
Deleted3507349User
I absolutely love Dogmeat. I didn't expect to after barkbarkbarkbark in Skyrim and the general uselessness of Dogmeat in FO3. To be honest, I was dubious of Todd Howard's claim that Dogmeat getting killed was a 'reload event'. Usually I just play any event that happens as it stands and deal with the *hurhur* fallout. After running around with THIS one...yup, he's right. SMB92
Its more like Dogmeat against you. I have never come across a more annoying follower. Weak as piss, always in the way, wrecks most sneak attempts and always walking off when trying to access his inventory. Hes lucky hes essential, i would have done away with him. Sure the animations and blah blah are good, but he has proven hopeless for me. Really disappointed in him, i really do want to like him :/
Deleted3507349User
It is handy if you're exploring inside a building to have him wait. Unfortunately he won't even defend himself after being told to stay. General exploration of the world is good though. What's missing is more AI customization a la New Vegas - I want a 'HEEL' command! Boombro
One should never sneak with a follower, it always a bad idea.
KFieLd
These things will come with mods. I'm absolutely sure of it. There's been so many "essential follower commands" style mods for FO3/NV.. it's difficult to think we won't get one soon for F4. Hopefully that addresses these issues. Also, I very much would like the same style of "Dogmeat Leather Armor" for FO4's dogmeat. Something we have to scavange for, and craft.. to increase dogmeat's effectiveness just that little bit extra. Just a mod in general that allows you to force a follower to PROPERLY sneak with you, and only attack when commanded or AFTER you've attacked.. would be invaluable. Deleted3507349User
Apparently dog armor is a thing in FO4. I haven't found any yet, though.
