I've actual had an idea that 'might' give you some power back. the rubber stop in the foot is supposed to cushion the foot as you set down. If you put a small piston filled with fluid each time you put you foot down you releasing energy into the piston, which could be used to drive a small motor. I have no idea how heavy the final design will be but it might give back some of the energy you will lose just getting the suit to move.

There are plenty of systems out there that can do it, I was looking for a video on YouTube about car suspension with built in energy recovery to charge the battery but couldn't find it (saw it years ago).

yeah there are loads of place i can build in pacive and active energy recovery, places that recive force due to gravity in the walking action will be pacive. and active places are where they can provide extra power or can be used to pump up the system. pnumatics are great for this, they dont weigh much and can be easily replaced with the air around you. Sure they arent as eficiant as hydrolic systems, but were not building a forklift or aliens power loader here.

so thanks again to Silvist over at loverslab i was able to import an STL into inventor so i can start modeling everything to the scale I need. now for the long journey of creating all of the individual parts and then making them mechanicly viable. I will keep going for a few parts, record snipits of footage here and there and post regular montage videos as i go.

And if i could ask you guys to please let my videos play all the way through, even if you get board (which i hope you dont). The more minutes watched i get on these vids the higher my my revenuiwe and the sooner i can get that 3D printer. I understand if you cant afford $1 a month to support my patreon page, the best you can help then is to share and watch my videos. I really apreciate the support, lets keep this tread active so more people see it and get involved.

Thaks guys

  • 2 weeks later...

Have you specified when you regular upload on Youtube? I've been checking (nearly everyday) so far nothing new so I was wondering?

Please give us some information soon, even if it does not go to full fabrication; as you intend. I'm enjoying seeing the model come to life in a feasible manner.
