BlackRoseOfThorns
Before your comment, I had no idea if there was people who game like that it.I have never seen anyone use arrow keys instead of WSAD, maybe that why beth did that? Left-handed people tend to do that. Most likely the whole keybind issue originated from porting console controls designed for gamepads.
Mofakin
Before your comment, I had no idea if there was people who game like that it.I have never seen anyone use arrow keys instead of WSAD, maybe that why beth did that? Left-handed people tend to do that. Most likely the whole keybind issue originated from porting console controls designed for gamepads. Could have been of many things, likely they hadn't found the time to forward any changes to the flash files regarding key bindings, that's what you'd normally thing. Unfortunately I have inside knowledge on how to code with flash files. Fixing this inside their development team, would have taken them less then half a day. This is what frustrates me most. They simply didn't care, or deemed it wasn't important enough, or were just to plain lazy to forward it. If I'd exaggerate I'd say they did this in complete ignorance to evervy specialized minority whatsoever, but then, there's other things to worry in live, so I need to find a way to get arranged with it, and not allow this issue to drag me down. On the other hand, I believe you can't even blame the devs, the pubs certainly cracked a whip on them to ready this jewel up for release, and Todd was playing his role as salesman perfectly. He'd even talk you into believe the sun sets in the west, and everyone was buying it. He doen't look like a nerdy 24/7 PC player to me, more like a person that's much to involved into his job, so his limited time frame allows him to be a casual gamer only. Casual gamers are more likley to use gamepads or consoles...you get the deal...;)
RelicDuDe
"I have never seen anyone use arrow keys instead of WSAD, maybe that why beth did that?.." I've been using arrow keys since i started gaming on PC.. or even the commodore 64.. a loooong ass time ago. like early eighties ?.. when most modern gamers where still in their fathers binoculars... and i use the arrow and surrounding keys to move, throw grenades, etc... that's why i don't play Wicher 3 anymore... they hard-coded some of my most used keys... And YES Bethesda... i use the bloody Num-0 to crouch... thanks for hard coding that key... its really funny when you want to crouch and give yourself a precious stim-pack instead... thanks a lot Beth !!!.... Grrr..
neonie
On Topic: Patch notes would be nice. ----On Arrow Keys: If you have an actual purpose for using arrow keys like being left handed, that is one thing and understandable concern. Since your mouse and set up is also probably on the other side and in reverse. If you are just an old foggy who is stuck in their old ways because "That's how we used to play Quake and Doom" I have zero sympathy for you. If you refuse to use the easier control scheme because you can't wrap your head around the idea of and refuse to try WASD, then you are literally just making things harder on your self for no reason. My 40+ year old father was like that once and when I finally got him to TRY WASD he went "OH! THIS ACTUALLY WORKS A LOT BETTER!" Don't gimp your self for no reason. Boombro
I thought left handed people use left handed keyboards, or WASD. Know some who do that. Sorry about my ignorance. Have you thought of sending an email? Anyways, I think there is no patch notes because they are trying to fix as much as possible, or have no idea if they can fix some, or just did not write a patch note. Deleted3507349User
I'd love it if the patch would allow keyboard and gamepad use at the same time.
