Aikospacerogue
Sounds like we'll see more type with upcoming DLC, but actually I'm more interested and exited to see the 3D artist for the community use the frame and its animations for unique armor :)
Boombro
Me too. But it seems a bit hard.
LordGrievous
IIRC, FO3 launched with only 5 or 6 sets of power armor, and it didn't work differently from any other gear or have any armor customization. I'm satisfied with the current selection of power armors. The X-01 looks sick, at least.
neonie
What would be really cool is a skin tight suit of power armor, that, instead of increasing Endurance and Strength, increased Perception and Agility, and it's modifications focused on Stealth and Melee. But power armor is also made for that. Seems odd, but it true. And skin tight? How will to get in it?

The main suit would be worn like normal clothing, but would have the same sort of customization and tweaking we see with power armor but built into the suit or the helmet. LordGrievous
You can actually mod a suit of power armor with a permanent stealth field and perception/agility mods. IIRC there's a helmet mod that gives +2 Perception, and some of the paints give +1 Agility(the flames make it go faster). Its goofy as hell to sneak in power armor, and I think some sort of sneakier theme'd suit that consumes fusion cores would be nice to have. It's interesting to know that those mods exist for the current power armor but yeah... ... Like even if it mechanically worked... There's no way I could ever FEEL sneaky in the current suit xD.It just doesn't make sense in my head to be sneaking around in that big clunky tank lol. RedWonderer
Other than PA, I'd love to see more "single" piece armor sets Ala FO3, FNV and Skyrim. With no modding needed to allow for the layered armor system to work on these sets as well, just have it perk/level gated. I could see this in a later DLC, certainly give some extra incentive to go along with beefed up DR for the inevitably tougher enemies. Just a thought. Another idea, albeit lore-bending/breaking, however a cool idea on paper - A form-fitting exoskeleton-esque PA suit that falls somewhere in between your typical walking tank PA and higher-tier combat armor. With increased speed and agility yet still offer DR in between the two. Teetering the line closing in on a Crysis suit I suppose, but that's not what I'm envisioning but it would surely be judged and looked upon as such. A few bottlecaps thrown out there in the wind ;-) Iron Man, Crysis, Chinese Stealth Armor, Spartan style of armor would be so cool. Power armor feels just to bulky most of the time you want a high tech, sneaky style of play. Power armor is super cool for a tank, shock troop character. I can't wait for GECK to come out and start trying out some (Institute) advanced combat armor with (leg) rocket boosters, cloaking, targeting, sprinting boost, jump boost, no fall damage. I know I can do all of this with Power armor, but I want a smaller form factor. On topic 5 PAs is still pretty ok. Each additional won't add that much to the game and people use the best one anyway. Lack of Enclave = lack of X-02 (and Hellfire) I quess. But there should atleast be tesla coil attachments visual.
