kevorkiandoctor
It has bothered me that the only thing that makes Oricsh armor Oricsh is the ore/ingots is made from. Clearly it is its design that makes it unique. The layered metal and otherwise samurai look. So techinally you could make Orcish Armor out of any material, Steel Orcish armor, Ebony Orcish Armor and etc. This is true about nearly all the Armors. Lets be real. An entire Army can't be light Armored. There has to be Heavy Elven Armor, some are going to get Steel if they're low rank and a finer material if they're higher rank or if the mission calls for it etc. Why does Daedric armor always look that same? If my true Nord crafts it maybe it looks like Nordic Armor just black and red and if my Orc makes it surely he'll make it in the way of his people. Etc. This would be an easy mod to make, all I need is someone who is able to do re texturing or at least walk me through it as I've never done it before. Only they're re textured, I can edit values and such accordingly.
Perraine
Easy to make ?!?!?!? Bro do you even mod? You'd not only need to make retextures of every single piece of armour in the game for every material type, but you'd then have to create crafting recipes and tempering recipes for all of those variants, and to then add those hundreds of variants to the leveled lists would be nothing short of an epic undertaking. Of course it's doable, but ... yikes! what a task ... No spank you.
Novem99
Wow! I barely have seen someone who totally missed concept behind this. An entire Army can't be light Armored. If one army wears only elven (light) armor and the other side only wears iron (heavy) armor I don't see any problems there. Same as if a glass armor army fights against a dwarven armor army. Light armor doesn't mean it is generally inferior to any kind of heavy armor. Light just says that the armor consists of a light weight material. Why does Daedric armor always look that same? If my true Nord crafts it maybe it looks like Nordic Armor just black and red and if my Orc makes it surely he'll make it in the way of his people. Specific materials require a specific design. I don't think that the materials that were used for a Samurai armor would work on a plate armor. you'd then have to create crafting recipes and tempering recipes for all of those variants And that would be by far the easiest part of this idea. Conclusion: this mod won't happen.
Boombro
Conclusion: this mod won't happen. It happened in 2011 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/2933/? Edited November 22, 2015 by Boombro
Novem99
Well, that was before I arrived here :D
Boombro
It odd that such feat of a mod is hardly spoken of.
Novem99
I know what you mean. There are so many mods here that have to live a life in the shadows of popularity.
Boombro
I wouldn't call 154,030 downloads as living in the shadows, yet again it from more than four years ago.

I would like to see Iron Elven Armor, and etc
