Deleted1711049User
After waiting for so long all I find is that you have to have a server level PC with massive amounts of graphics and at least 16gig of memory to run this game.I am a poor SOB who does not have the money to go buy a new PC, or build a new PC, so now I've waste money on a game I will never be able to play. Thank you Bethesda for creating yet another game that is only for the rich and those who can afford to spend money on the newest latest and greatest PC hardware. Guess next time I go shooting I have a new target. One Fallout 4 game disk.... Edited November 21, 2015 by Guest
zaty1
Not sure how old your computer is or what kind of detail you want within the game... I pulled out a junky 5-6 year old computer that can run this. Obviously, fps is low - but there are a bunch of low texture mods, memory boosters, shadow fixers, etc.. etc.. etc.. that can really help a lower end machine run the game. If you want awesome eyecandy - well.... =\
harvengure
My laptop isn't exactly a server level machine and yet I can play this on Ultra. In fact it handles better than Skyrim did, so I am sure it is as much about how you set it up as it does what you set it up on.
MrsHandy
Maybe instead of spending your money on guns ammo and shooting range time you can save it for what really matters - a new PC!
Dhegonus
i have an fx-6xxx oc'ed to 4.6 ghz, 8 gb ram and a R9 280x and run at 1080p 60 fps on ultra and you can get a PC like that very cheaply.
SharraShimada
Sorry krazyrayaz but bethesda published the specs for months. And if you are not really sure, if your pc matches them, you should wait for the first board-responses about perfomance. Noone is repsonsible, if you are buying a new game, your computer can´t handle...
bben46
If you are expecting 60+fps at all times and 4K graphics for everything you may well need a small supercomputer to run it. But if you are willing to settle for a somewhat lower graphics ( still looks good) and around the same 30 fps the console players seem to think means high res graphics. Just about any computer that played Skyrim fairly well should work fine. One trick on a lower spec computer is to cap the fps so it doesn't jump all over the place. Experiment some to find the best fps cap for your system. Mine for Skyrim is 42 fps. I don't see any stuttering and rarely does it drop below the 42 fps setting making for smooth game play. tedman84
FO4 is really not that demanding. If you can play Skyrim okay, then FO4 will definitely run well, too. If you post your game settings and hardware that you are using, maybe we can work out what can be adjusted to get a better experience.
Deleted1711049User
@Madanexx - Really "fallout 4 can literally run on a potato..."Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)Intel Core i5-2300 2.8 GHz/AMD Phenom II X4 945 3.0 GHz or equivalent.8 GB RAM.30 GB free HDD space. NVIDIA GTX 550 Ti 2GB/AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB or equivalent. This doesn't look like a potato to me, this looks more like $800+ that I don't have. Interesting how when I did the pre-purchase, the specs were a 2.6GHz CPU and 1 gig video card and 8 gig of memory. Then on release it almost doubles.. how nice..Sorry but a game just isn't worth that kind of expense.Sold it to a rich friend of mine who wanted to test it out.Guess I'll just keep expanding and playing FO3.
