Warmaker01
I know the issue has come up in many a player's mind about having more visual variety yet in what their character looks like without compromising combat performance. I was browsing around Kotaku and came across an interesting page. The Legendaries part of that page we should be aware of in general already. But apparently going a bit further with the Railroad arc unlocks Ballistic Weave modification. This should be old news to guys that stuck with the Railroad but I know the Railroad is looked down upon by a number of players, including myself. I had already "dealt" with them in my arc before doing this special part so my Lv70-something character has never unlocked this mod and I have all the modification/crafting perks maxed. Boombro
Yes, you can have quite the op dress/hat/suit, From 80-110. I love my raider set, but I want to wear worn shirt/pants and maybe a hat instead of looking like a rusty wrestling cage. No matter how badass and cool is that. RR coats, while badass, is freaking 30 units of weight. The hell is that thing made of?! So yeah, the mod is a really nice thing to have. OP? Yup, but it nice having the option to wear a dress to war. At least, you don't have to go all the way with the RR. The quests are side quests has nothing to do with the main quest, it also makes you able to make up your mind better about the RR and get a clear view of what they want to do. You can still leave after and never come back. Edited December 2, 2015 by Boombro

I felt the best was a modified Vault Suit and my character wore hers for ages and ages until I simply got tired. But this aspect I didn't know before opens things up quite a bit. Ballistic Weave clothing with stuff like Metal, Combat Armor at the high end seems strong indeed, and you won't have to worry about Fusion Cores, etc.
Boombro
Strong? On the highest difficulty setting, a nuke only halves your HP. You can go in a building full of SM and may not use a healing item in very hard with a close range weapon. That mod is OP, enough said.

Considering how high it is and I can't even get my late game Combat Armor to even approach those values, yes it is
