Im kinda pissed off with a lot of tutorial videos people post

"download this.. and install that, but I've already installed it, so I'm not going too. instead i'll just tell you about it..".

the main thing I'm saying is: never say that your tutorial is for people that are new to it when you had previously setup everything in the past. if your going to make a tutorial then don't use your existing stuff, why not actually start it off fresh instead so you can get onto a more understand view point of the people that are watching your videos. you'd be supersized at how much stuff you missed out on in your tutorials.

They didn't forget, they prepared the stuff/have them. Wanna would you want to watch a download and a normal install?

And why you need someone to tell you how to install a software? You click and a wizard will come up 95/% of the time, expect if it was portable/ standalone so it works right off the box. The ck differs by downloading it like a steam game.

Sorry, I'm getting the wrong idea or something?

if you create a tutorial based only on the way you see it! then is it really a tutorial for other people?

Better than no tutorial whatsoever. At least you get a clue about what the hell you want to do and where to find it.

1. There is a thing called editing! you edit out the time consuming past like waiting for it to download.

2. Im not talking about the ones that take few seconds to install. i'm talking about the ones that have multiple different things that you have or need to do else it wont work. also your specking from a point of view where doing that is natural.

3. And this is to most of the replies on here. yes they maybe doing it out of kindness out of their hearts but as that one person said "teaching isn't easy", teaching is like anything else, you cant just jump in there and do what ever you think is right. that's why you have to learn about it first, creating a tutorial is the same, you can't just go "oh! i am going to create a tutorial to teach others how to do this(or that)", the tutorial wouldn't be very good and leave other more confused then helped.

Which is why i said

"if you create a tutorial based only on the way you see it! then is it really a tutorial for other people?

if someone wishes to create a tutorial, then why not seek others knowledge to grasp what the tutorial should really be.

one mind is only so limited."

4. how many people read what i said and thought ALL of it was me hating? why is that, hmmm. did you judge my post based off few lines out of many and that i wrote words like "pissed off" and "kinda hating on them".

Are you thinking about it now, telling yourself that i am/was wrong ^ but was i really wrong? people judge things even when they don't realize it. it can put you into a certain state, that in a way riles you up and changes the way you view things

Why do i say this? it feels like most of you have perceived it all in a negative way even though most of it is not me hating but identifying the truth. why did i use few negative words in the title and at the end? because i was effected in the same way, thinking "why create a tutorial if your not going to try to understand what it is your doing, not in what the tutorial is about but the tutorial it self". but was i really wrong in saying those things?

If i was going to create a tutorial, i'd first learn about what it is I am making it for (which of course everyone does). secondly i'd research about what a tutorial is and how to make one. thirdly i'd watch multiple tutorials made by others. fourthly i'd create one or two tutorials and ask if i'd miss anything. fifth, if i actually cared about continuing creating tutorials i'd learn more about these "holes" or "missing pieces" in my tutorials. last, i'd create one tutorial on what im teaching or showing, then create a separate video based on these "holes". if it be bugs, incorrect installment, different hardware, missing files.

For example: HighResTexturePack01,02 and 03.esp

The high resolution pack was a requirement for a mod that i wanted to install but there was no information on how to get it. i googled it over and over, only to find forums and posts about mods that also required it but neither did they say how to get it. the others that i had found where about people who had problems with their high resolution pack saying that one or two of them weren't registering and stuff like that. not once was there a post/comment/forum that told you how to get it, until one day when i was playing on my xbox360 and was looking at the DLCs for a game that i had and then i wondered if skyrim had any other dlc stuff(i brought the legendary edition when it had cost $25 AUD *it was on the Christmas sale*). that's when i saw the skyrim high resolution pack that those mods always said that i needed.

If you make/create something but you don't improve or fix it then do you actually care about it? is it really coming from the "kindness of your heart".

Where did you read from my comment about me saying that anything about you hating? Even others didn't say anything about it, they just explained what the people where doing it. Sorry it came out wrong.

Oh, so want to 3d model stuff? Since you need blender, nifskope, the ck and an a nif import script, right? I thought you were talking CK and Tes5edit. And those are very easy to setup.

secondly i'd research about what a tutorial is

That going a bit to deep for this though.

fourthly i'd create one or two tutorials and ask if i'd miss anything

Wouldn't people normally comment about that? I mean, I always found people saying what wrong or ask what something related to video. Most improve later on.

Yes, if one did his best and can't improve the moment he made it or doesn't know how to spot the problems.

Come on, even the best writers and artists need editors to spot what they did wrong most of the time.

only the first few where directed to you. but the rest was to all.

i'm actually currently trying to use the 3d model stuff so i can create a more anime like wolf-girl race, i find all the human-animal races to be errrr! the best I've seen is a wolf/dog ears & tail mod that I've seen in some of the work that some mod creators use but i can never find it. only found the ones with a different design from the anime side.

but with the things I've said, i meant it from all the different type and not just a specific one.

tutorials seem to skip out on or forget some stuff that is the "basic of basics", mainly unintentional but still needed in certain conditions

also when i say research i don't mean read 5 essays on how to create a tutorial, this isn't college or uni

That still deep.

if looking for a guide about creating a tutorial is "still too deep" then should they be even attempting to create one?

But you said read about what a tutorial is, not how to make one. Still, good advice. I will keep that in mind if I ever made one.

Anyways. Did you try reading the software how to? I'm sure they have clear steps about how to do it.
