i'm an amateur in the construction set and i'm trying to make a mod w/ a new building in balmora.

:help:

1: when the player accesses the building's door from exterior balmora, how do i take the player from the outside into my new interior cell?

2: how do i use DoorMarkers and what do they do?

3: how can i fix the problem of corners and sides of rooms not lining up corretly (i know about angle snap and grid snap).

4: HOW THE H*** do i SAVE CHANGES to the mod and not save it as a new one everytime i have to leave the computer?!?!!

As you can tell i obviously dont know much. please answer to help me.

-thanx :D

Hee hee, had lots of the same problem

1.double click the ex. door, and there should be a 'teleport' check mark. cli click on that, choose your int. from the dropdown menu, and then place your door marker.

2.see above

3. I use the snap to thing, and I would advise you do to. Otherwise it gets very hard

4. ctrl+s

Ah, yes, that one plagued me for the first two days. I had 33 Redoran stronghold expansions at one point, and so many graphical glitches, lag, and doubling that I thought someone had installed a GeForce FX into my system. Er, anyways, all you need to do is select your plugin in the "Data Files..." dialogue and click on "Active File." The status of your plugin should change from "Plugin File" to "Active File." Save it normally from that point on.

RE: 2: how do i use DoorMarkers and what do they do?

-- Make sure that you have a check mark beside "Markers" in the "View" section of the tol bar...This will allow you to see the big pink arrows that signify a door marker. (If you can't see them already)

-- What the pink marker does is show you where the Player Character will be placed at when they activate the door.

-- Also don't forget to make the interior door send the player back out to the exterior.. ;) just thought I would mention that just in case :)

Good Luck with your project!

and have fun :)

Snaps to a grid for movement and rotation when you drag an object in the window.. Example, all movement is in increments of 1 foot, and all rotation by 15*. But I think you can set this to a different size if you want.
