Aurielius
I just want to have my flying Jetson vehicle, that they promised we would all commute with by now. Which evidently will still have emission and traffic congestion issues. :geek:

niphilim222
Air is the fuel source, that's the point. Air and something else comes out. it can convert anything like liquid or any air types to clean air or energy. Third party took the bloom idea, there are other companies using this type of fuel cell. HeyYou
There is no such thing as a free lunch. Air will not work as a fuel. There simply isn't enough energy in it.
sunshinenbrick
There is in fact a lot of energy in atoms though. Fusion may well be a very high yielding energy source (unless of course it blows us all up, either accidentally or on purpose). There is also a good deal of innovation in the way of saving energy, or using the energy we have more efficiently. Designed obsolescence is a immensely huge industry (think the invention of it was so as to sell more light bulbs "dang things just lasted too long!!" :ermm: )There could be some amazing things done with technology if it was driven in the correct direction. Another problem is distribution of said power. Apparently, I read somewhere, with solar technology we could power the world forever by using a tiny fraction of the Sahara. I don't know how true that is but it displays an obvious need for some sort of geopolitical revolution in order to instigate something like that. kintaro12
Inexpensive, ok this is not going to be used by the public.Look the examples of Nicola Tesla. He wanted to give FREE energy to the world, and they didn't let him. Even if this technology one day reach out houses, WONT BE INEXPENSIVE no more. Will be just GREEN but expensive. Beriallord
There won't ever be 'free' energy, even should technology advance to the point where such a thing would be feasible. It would get shut down by government imposed regulations. That would be just one less thing the powerful won't be able to hold over everyone's head as a means of control. And the people with power aren't going to give it up willingly. It was Tesla's original goal to transmit free electricity to the globe, and if anyone alive could have figured out a way to make it happen, he probably could have if he had proper funding and support. One of history's top 3 genius minds, IMO. His IQ was probably off the scale. Apparently he planned on tapping into the energy in Earth's upper atmosphere, and transmitting it through a network of towers. I'm not even sure if such a thing is possible. They can get a fusion reaction to occur, the problem is it costs too much energy to maintain the reaction. Millions of degrees is required, and it takes a massive amount of energy to create those temps.
