moose_spleen
It's gotta be early nineties death metal like cannibal corpse and Deicide. Or some really technical black metal like dimmu.

Dark0ne
I really like InMe's new track for their second album, which is yet to be named publically. They've released the video to the track on a few sites like MTV2 and I really like it - don't know why as the majority of the stuff they've done thus far hasn't turned my head too much. Check out the vid and see Brit rock how its meant to be..not with those ass monkeys The Darkness or the smacktard f@&#!ts "Muse". http://www.mwsource.com/InMe%20-%20Faster%...The%20Chase.mp4 (14MB, requires QuickTime or a MP4 player). I'd recommend right-clicking and choosing save-as, so you can go into double-size for the vid..its only 300x300.

Slaiv
I hate pretty much all music. Rather, all POPULAR music. Just because I don't like to go the way of the bandwagon. Actually, now that I think of it, I like alot of music, too.... Classical: Modern classical, classic classical, Russian, German, etc.... Just not baroque. Punk: None of the retarded, new, wannabe-punk bands [like Good Charlotte] - I go with the old stuff. Dropkick Murphys [a few good songs], The Ernies, Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Kennedys, Rancid, etc.... Rock: AC/DC, Van Halen. Classic rock is way too overrated - face it people, it sucks. The Ramones. Alternative: Mostly alt. rock. Powerman 5000, The Offspring, Chrome Locust, Dogpiss, Primus [freaking amazing], Alice in Chains, Liquid Tension Experiment, the Vines, Gram Rabbit, Orgy... Ska: The Aquabats, the Soulutions... Metal: Early Metallica [Disposable Heroes, etc.], Unsane, the Scorpions... Motorhead is the king. Techno: European and Hard Trance, all the way. DJ Kristoff, DJ Tiesto, PVD, Antinomie... Also - alternative techno; bands like the Secret Machines, Orbital, The Prodigy, The Crystal Method, Juno Reactor, the Propellerheads, etc... UK: MUSE, Dogpiss.... Best Band of All Time: Rage Against The Machine. No match anywhere.Second Best Band of All Time: Rammstein.

ObsidianKnight
I like a mix. Sometimes I like to listen to sappy love songs. Sometimes I'm in the mood for classical. Some rock I really like. But I can't stand that "Christian Rock". It's neither Christian nor rock, IMO. If I wanted a sermon, I'd go to church. And I don't go to church. cmac
The only type of music that hold any appeal to me is classic. Vivaldi, Beethoven, Bach, and Handel are some of my favorites. On the other hand, I hate rap and all things affiliated with it. I can stand most other types of music, but rap is absolutely the worst- it's jarring, (for the most part) crude, and unworthy of the title 'music.' Xionith
I listen to some techno, specifically Ozirc Tentacles. They could just be a no-name band like I think but maybe some of you know about them.. I also dont know if I mentioned, classic rock.
Ember
Well, I listen to a very broad range of stuff. I'm planning on going professionally into music myself, so I tend to absorb myself in it most of the time. I'd say the only things I generally stay away from (with notable exceptions) are the Nu-Metal and recent Emo movements. My favourite artists are PJ Harvey (An absolute goddess  ), Six. by Seven, dEUS, the Pumpkins, Tool, Bowie, Primal Scream, Sigur Ros, Depeche Mode, the Cure, Square Pusher, Jega, Goldfrapp, QOTSA, the Cinematic Orchestra, the Pixies, Nick Drake, Jeff Buckley, Martin Grech, ADF, Mogwai and a long-time love affair with Radiohead. I also can't resist a bit of Muse now and again. I'm only just getting into classical at the moment, so Beethovens sonatas have been a pretty regular feature on Media Player. In terms of quite recent music, I think the Mars Voltas album is a bit excellent and I'll be out to get Pj Harveys new one as soon as possible. Unfortuantly Six. by Seven have taken a bit of a slide after the loss of a lead guitarist and now their bassist, an the musics suffered. I'm hoping they'll pull it back together on the next album, as their first two blew me away. I think there's some quite good stuff circulating on the UK music scene at the moment as well, McKlusky have made some excellent tunes and Franz Ferdinard are alright. In terms of Hiphop its a bit patchy, mostly Prefuse 73 and NWA at the moment. Mmmmmm..... sweet bed. Where's my LOTR BBC radio adaption... Ember. EDIT:*Rant warning* Oh my word, I forgot about reggae. Nothing makes me more angry than banal, uninspired structured reggae. Its like a jazz band post-lobotomy, wofting around like an intangible cloud. I simply can't engage with it on any level. Its either so freeform that any direction that might've been provided by the vocal melody dissappears inside pointless aimless noddlings, or so rigid that the whole song hinges on a single musical phrase, endless repated until ones head falls off. No dynamics. But naturally it has an indefinable quality because of the forms 'spiritual associations...' :ranting: Phew. Got that one off my chest. Off to bed, angst free. :)
