Yeah, my first thought is that we should be able to mod FO4 before the official release. You know then a flooding wave of mods came in an we all drowned in it. It might be better to go back an learn some more Skyrim creation engine stuff.

I'm all for that...since I've be modding for most of 3 weeks now, but how would you suggest a person as intelligent and ignorant as I should go about this? Since I don't know what I don't know, I don't know the best place to start, and then journey forward...especially given ad hoc learning can leave you dark in areas that could be painfully important.

You can download the Skyrim creation kit through Steam, then go to the Creation Kit Wiki (http://www.creationkit.com/Main_Page) for tutorials on how to use it. A lot of that will apply to Fallout 4.

 

Hopefully, a lot of the old bugs ("dark face", seq files, etc.) will not apply with the new FO4 CK. :wink:
