Am I the only one who finds skin tones too dark?

Nobody seems to care about this, maybe I shouldn't either, but have you noticed that the palest skin ("pale") isn't pale at all. It's light brown. The next, "rosy" should be pink, like in "rosy cheeks" but it's definitively a tanned look. And each tone as you go up is darker than what it's name would imply. So you can't have pale characters. I would like to make a character that looks like Princess Leia (from episode 4 not 7), but she comes out looking more like Eva Longoria. We need a mod to tone down skin tones.

Well, I suppose there's also the issue of how high your brightness is set, and how high it was set for whoever designed those at Bethesda.

Well, I'm v. pale and none of the skin tones available are anywhere near as light as my skin. Considering in most games, people with darker skin tones usually have problems with the character creator I don't consider myself to be hard done by. It's a minor niggle and I'm sure at some point a mod will add more skin tone options.

Adjust your TV/Monitor then... The pale skin is plenty pale in my game. My character is definitely more pale than the Princess Leia you want to make. I also used some of the nice features like 'sunburn' and 'red nose' subtly to actually give a realistic feel to the pale skin. It turned out better than any character generator I have used in the past.

I dont know, whats wrong with your game, but i can tone it down to nearly paper-white...

Now I just have this urge to make a character called Snow White. I'd probably have to mod some doves and bluebirds to keep fluttering around her ;)

 

Hmm... and dwarves are canon in Fallout too...
