Lisnpuppy
We have them both,, playstations, Xboxes, handheld things. (three kids in the house) and honestly I think they all have a place and some games are much better on one format or the other. I don't like that one sometimes has to suffer for the sake of the other. We use the consoles for family fun time and look for games that allow co-op though they are hard to find anymore. I think there is plenty of room for many kinds of gaming systems. I don't know why it has to be one or the other?
ValkirionLinkGurdna
The reasons I'm asking on here are as follows. I wanted the pc gamers views and am going to ask on other forums as well. I was a console gamer and now I have joined in on the pc master race. I miss the n64 Mario kart 4 player split screen blood baths that I used to be able to participate in but now I cant anymore do to having to move on. Personally now I do prefer a pc but where can I get local 4 player blood bath on a pc? You cant. You can get hundreds of blood baths with mmos but those are not balanced well or you have to pay to play or pay to play and win like W.O.W. I don't think it should be monopolized but I would have liked the alien wares alpha to have been a better concept of bringing pc gaming to the living room. Make a gaming pc that can be simply upgraded when new hardware for it comes out and have it where it can do 4 player split screen and can handle games like Skyrim on ultra high with 60 fps. JimboUK
what idiot buys a console, that's my motto. guess it also directly state my feeling and opinion on consoles directly. Why limit yourself like that? you're missing out on decent titles that will never come to PC.
obobski
no i wasnt saying they were 'the deciders' i was saying that they are assuming people dont want it so they are getting rid of it. But that assumption isn't coming out of thin air - it is likely the case that people, at least the majority of people, really don't want it (or aren't using it, even if they say they want it). Unfortunately that's how businesses work - they try to sell the most products to the most people, and minority viewpoints sometimes get left out. Thaneize
I have a PC and an Xbox One and i mostly use the Xbox for playing online with my friends, games like GTA V or Halo, on PC i mostly play PC exclusives like the strategy games of paradox or MMOs. Both have their right to exist and their advatages. The point "Games look better on PC" is only true if you own a PC which is able to run them. Fallout 4 looks insanely better on my Xbox because my PC is a Snail compared to modern top notch PCs. Console:- The games just work, no hassle with hardware- More relaxing to use (if you arent one of those steambox guys)- More secure gaming network (less cheating and hacking)- Amazing service from the companies (at least microsoft, sony is ok but not too good and nintendo is crap in service)- You can return a game you don't like or you finished quickly for days mostly (at least in the EU)- Exclusives (Uncharted and Halo, hunnng)- no need for expensive upgrades PC:- the freedom to do what you want- Mods for almost every game- Games are a lot cheaper + steam sales- More games in general and games which are unplayable with a controller (im looking at you starcraft)- Steam- online gaming is for free (the service is provided bythe community, which can be good or bad)- did i mention mods?- altough i had that point disqalified: games look better on PC (if you are a rich person or the child of rich parents or a very patient money saver)
obobski
I'm not sure I'd consider Steam a "win" for PCs, or users in general, especially if you're also going to cite "freedom" or "customization" as primary selling points. :ninja:
