oldspice2625
So, I have my T 45 decked out in Minuteman paint, but I found the X01 at level 30, a full suit on top of a building where I had to fight an Assaultron and Sentrybot on Survival difficulty. Needless to say, I'm going to have it for ever and ever now. I wanted to know, when I went back to customize the X01 with minuteman paint, I found that I could not do so. Can you only have one paint job type per armor at a time, and then have to get rid of it on the old armor, in order to put it on the new one? Or, are some paint job types only available to some kinds of armors? Like, for example, can you not put Flames on T60 (not saying it's like that, but it's an example)? TheOriginalEvilD
I think the X0-1 got left out of a few paint jobs. You can't do it in BOS paint either.
oldspice2625
Okay. I noticed the same thing happening with the T51 armor and not being able to add Minuteman to it :( Sucks, because I think it's pretty awesome with that Navy Blue color and the logo. I hear there's a sick Institute paint job and some other ones so, meh.
SharraShimada
The X-01 is state of the art tech, way superior than 50 and 60 series. Therefore, nearly no-one has one in stock, and so there are limited paintjobs availlable. The factions alway have only the paints for the armor they are using themselves. Even the Brotherhood has none of them. So, if you really in need of certain paint für the x-01, you have to rely on mods.
Boombro
The PA gets the sweetest paint job, a clean white pearl paint from the institut. Add blue eyes and you it will reeks of beauty.Another cool looking one is flames and blue eyes.

I wanna believe that, but it doesn't make sense when I've just strolled across 3 sets just sitting around in the wasteland right there in front of everyone. How the heck do the BOS NOT find that stuff?

robhartman9
There are three Hot Rod magazines that offer custom paint with no material cost. Tons of mods are already up on nexus for this. I have endorsed one called Marijuanaflage that is a texture replacement for the Hot Rod Hot Pink paint job but there are lots of stand alone armor paint mods. PS use the X-01 red tactical headlamp with marijuanaflage LOL Edited January 3, 2016 by robhartman9
CyrusAmell
Each of the major factions in the game was awarded a specific paint job for a series of power armor that best reflects them: The T-45: Used as a last resort by the Lone Survivor to save Preston's charges, this armor reflects the low grade but easy maintenance of your usual minutemen equipment. The T-51: Iconic and durable, the Railroad faction applies a dark blue paint-job with their logo discreetly placed on the chest. The Railroad is a callback to many dated imagery, among them old spy organizations and the T-51 reflects this to an extent. The T-60: far larger than the T-45, the Brotherhood of Steel is the only organization that can field so many and maintain them. A staple of the US Army just before the end of the world, this armor is now a mainstay for the East Coast Brotherhood. The X-01: Ridiculously advanced and Inexplicably present in the Commonwealth, the Institute offers the only unique paint-job for the X-O1 because of the similarities the armor and the organization share. But that is just my take. Edited January 4, 2016 by CyrusAmell
