Moraelin
Actually, to be honest, lately the top mods list has looked better than it ever was for Skyrim, or for that matter FO3 or NV. For more than a month, most of the top mods were construction stuff, community keywords for modders, and stuff like that. Armour recolours also seemed to get quite a few endorsements lately. That said, to reiterate what was already said, everyone does what they want, since nobody is paid for it. Unless you'd like to hire someone to make what you want done, I guess. Otherwise, well, if you want something else done, you can always learn to do it yourself.
TheFoxQueen
It has always been like this- If a game is even slightly modifiable, there will be nude mods.If it has a modding tool like the Creation Kit for Skyrim, there will be sex mods. There's not much that can be done about that. I don't use them (I do use body mods due to armor mostly being made for them, but in most cases I use the underwear version) and I don't care if you do. I do admit I'm kinda afraid that the main focus of modding is going to become making w*** bank material. But oh well, the F4 modding community is still growing, and I have good hopes that there will be plenty of other mods when the modding tool comes out. An important belief on the Nexus is that if you don't like a mod, move on in silence.Problematic when my entire front page is VAGINA PUBIC HAIR BOOBS! Yes, I have the mature content allowed - for stuff like body textures and nude bodies, realistic stuff relating to the human bodies. Not for thong-armor, latex vaultsuits and strap-on Dildos. I didn't expect all of the "Top Mods" to just be screenshots of naked (or near-naked) women. http://forums.nexusmods.com/public/style_images/underground/attachicon.gifWhy Nexus.JPG I get it, they're popular. But maybe NOT have my entire splash page filled with CBBE armor and tits? No offense to the creator, but I'm glad the CBBE Innies mod is away from the Hot Files. I too have mature content allowed for the same reason, but when I opened the Nexus and a close-up picture of a vagina was the first thing I saw, I quickly closed it again lol. It's not like I'm afraid of it as I am a female myself, but it's just not really a tasteful view.
Athanasa
So yea. They are going to rate boobs and vaginas as top content. As a female, I rate neither as top content. They have some horrific biological stability and performance issues. Edited January 1, 2016 by Athanasa
mac2636
I'm more annoyed 'bout the fact how unrealistic and even childish view on women these guys have...Agreed. Someone made a thread like this and someone basically said, "If you don't like a screen full of vaginas and boobs, you're obviously not over 18 years old and should not be playing a mature game." Mature means more than bouncing tits. Mature can mean adult concepts without being adult porn. Mature includes addressing issues of the nastier side of humans - stuff you don't want to expose kids to. You don't want 12 year old Little Timmy playing a quest-line where you break down a slave trade ring where they sell off slaves 'past their use-by' for medical experiments, for example. An important belief on the Nexus is that if you don't like a mod, move on in silence.Problematic when my entire front page is VAGINA PUBIC HAIR BOOBS! But maybe NOT have my entire splash page filled with CBBE armor and tits? CBBE just came out and everyone is going crazy over it. im sure it will pass, or at least others will help round out the ratio. until then there is an adult filter, not telling you to use it, just putting it out there.Thing is, I like some of those 'mature' mods. As in, I like being able to adjust the figure of my character to something that suits the world, giving her a texture that implies that she's actually got some muscles under there, instead of being made of clay. I like improved textures. I'm eagerly waiting for when I can give my character scars and marks from fighting through the Wasteland. I just wish that maybe there could be some sort of way that stops MATURE flagged stuff landing on the splash page, so I don't feel like I've accidentally landed on RedTube when I check for mods. You should probably just stick to Steam Workshop or Bethesda's mod hosting site. Would pretty much completely solve your problem.

Luckily, I'd already seen what was on the front page, so I avoided this scenario. "Yeah, this where I get my Fallout mods from! It's an awesome website. Just lemme load up the web page.""...""Kill me."
Guest deleted2588518
.I do admit I'm kinda afraid that the main focus of modding is going to become making w*** bank material. But oh well, That is a reasonable fear. Since Skyrim's popularity brought a metric ton of new people to the Nexus (and the majority of those new people were teenage boys) yea, the focus has shifted to Boobs. As an adult male I can say that I enjoy Boobs as much as the next man. But I do think things are getting slightly more distasteful. And dear lord the anime... If I didn't know any better, from what I constantly see on Nexus for Skyrim I would swear it was a JRPG porn simulator. There are also YouTubers who only feature what they call, "Sluuty" mods. Which just adds more focus on them. Some of those YouTubers reach an audience of hundreds of thousands. Combine that with people looking for internet recognition... They are going to make more nude mods, body mods and, for all intent and purpose, porn so that their mod gets shown on a mod review by a youtuber. Deleted2792127User
For those who say it has always been like this.... no it has not. These mods have been there, but not like it is now in FO4.... where EVERY featured mod on the front page is tits and vagina.... and where the pictures on the front page are closeups of vaginas. To be honest, I would imagine it has gotten so over the top that the admins at Nexus have begun taking measures to protect themselves. Kids come to these sites, and some of these mods are basically porn.

So you CAN have pictures of vaginas in your mods, but those pictures aren't the ones on the front page. That'd be fine. Some sort of filter, y'know? Or make people do it themselves. Select the pictures to display for your mods NOTE: Using pictures of close up or uncensored genitalia for your mod icon will result in removal or suspension of your mod from the system People now censor the pictures. Bonus points for creatively placed bottle caps. There's enough there to know it's boobs and vagina, but at least it's not so in-your-faceI mean, if there was a censorship rule, I'd find myself drawn to the mods with the most hilarious censored images at that point. Carefully placed objects ("Is that a baseball bat or are you just happy to-- oh, you are happy.") and innuendo all over the shop. It'd be glorious. And of course, once you CLICK the mod, the actual images are there to see. (And we all know kids bypass age filters by lying. I know I did it when I was young enough to need to.) I posted on another thread the idea of not allowing the main picture to be adult oriented and if you click the mod a popup will show stating it is adult and to only continue if you are 18 or over. It would be simple to implement.
nonoodles
It's one of the reasons I stopped looking at the hot files feature. We can always take comfort in the knowledge that we have been honoured to be there at the dawn of the extremely lucrative, life-saving multibillion dollar virtual porn industry, if only by dint of association.
