Ru5tyShackleford
What are the current working mod managers for Fallout 4? I use FOMM for fallout 3 and NV. and use MO for skyrim. Also, any suggested mods to fix/patch things, or other suggestions?
chavovaldez
I have been using the alpha build of MO 2 for Fallout 4 with only slight annoyances so far. I had to disable EVGA PrecisionX software, some overlay programs that hook into direct X games are not working with MO 2 yet. Also you can't run 32 bit programs from MO2 yet, such as FO4edit or Loot.I also have used NMM with no problems at allr.
Ru5tyShackleford
So NMM is the most stable so far? Or are there any others?
lilkandeekid
Ive been using NMM with no issues.
WaRi0
I at first used the alpha of Mod Organizer as well but its very buggy and almost nothing works yet. I'm using NMM until they offivially release MO.
JarinArenos
No issues with NMM so far, and the ability for mod authors to build in mod options into their installers is pretty cool.
SirTwist
I have heard that Tannin took some time off, over the holidays, from MO 2. I am hoping that he gets back to it some time in the near future, and we have a good, working, mod organizer soon. I hope it actually does get better, and able to support things better. But I am, at the moment, using the 32-bit MO for things like Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas, and NMM only for Fallout 4.
Lazenite
The Mod Organizer is working for me, though it is buggy. Working with FO4edit as well, though it doesn't recognize Mods downloaded in the fake folders. I don't know if it is the problem that is causing crashes on the beginning, but will check NMM to see if there is any difference.
ccjohnson
Any news to that? Im just starting modding Fallout4 now, and I have excellent experience with MO from Skyrim. If that wont work, I will need to use NMM, but I dont like that it messes around in the real data folder. @LazeniteWhat version are you using? What exactely is bugg for you? And Im not sure I know what you mean by "fake folders", could you please explain? I remember now :-) Thanks a lot. ccjohnson
If anyone is interested, here are the answers I was looking for, after my first hour of gameplay: -MO versions 1.XX not working for FO4 (read that before)-MO v2 Alpha 2 works great until you start FO4exe, crashes faster than you can see-MO v2 Alpha 3 works great. Crashes every time you install a mod, but when you restart MO, its there, fully installed, and can be activated. Just remeber to close it and open it again, if you change any settings in MO, so they will be saved.Im playing with a hairmod and CBBE (w/o Bodyslide), both have esps, works just fine. Im happy for now. Greets
