The ONLY valid contibution to the problem of dominance by a given mod type is to suggest that such a popular mod type be given a dedicated section of its own. Let me elaborate.

On a site covering TV shows, Big Brother was so popular in the 'reality TV' forum, threads about the show regularly pushed all other topics off the main page. This (understandably) annoyed those wishing to talk about other shows. The answer, of course, was to give Big brother its own dedicated sub-forum, NOT ban or restrict discussions about it.

Likewise if a certain form of mod really does come to dominate FO4, it would make sense to apply the same form of solution. Popularity should not be punished or criticised, but popularity should not be allowed to drown out other less popular subjects either. And we don't want to encourage the destructive "I have a problem with Human sexulality or nudity" conversations -they are always cancerous.

CBBE is a good mod in terms of what stuff it can do. However, I never understood the urge to put naked bodies to the game, boobs with nipples and pussies. C'mon... Imagine a real wasteland. Would you see naked people there? When you loot the body do you really take off their pants and bras? What for? To smell it or wear it? Hell no! I think it comes to personal taste. As a immersion lover I'm not using mods like this because wearing skimpy armour in the wasteland irradiated so badly that my food is talking and walking is not good idea. And I'm guy for Atom's sake, so I play as a guy, and I don't like male bums and sausages even if it is mine I have to look at. CBBE is good mod that makes the bodies look more natural etc. it is the other mods for pussies, boobs, hairstyles down there etc. that puts me off. The looks would be least of your problems in wasteland

PS. Thanks for the tip about tag blocking. It's helpful

I don't know about you, but I, for one, would love to run around the wastelands ass naked and whip people to death with my irradiated penis.

But then again that's just a normal thing.

Regardless, the OP is really sounding like one of those "euuuugh i clearly don't care to understand what i'm arguing about" kind of folk.

-snip-

Really it's subjective to what "outside" folks see communities as. It's really about your culture and upbringing. Some can see this community as a nice and kind one, some can see it as a festering pot of lewd bile. But the only problem comes is when you vocalize it and expect no repercussions for doing so. It's ignorant to dismiss an entire community of people just based on the notion that they like something you don't like. If we judged those just because of groups related to them, then we'd still be in the dark ages.

I honestly had decided never,ever,ever..to get involved in a debate on the Nexus again but,this?+.. Apparently i´m a lonely, pathetic, teenage boy who never had a girlfriend, because i use CBBE and other mods enhancing the looks of both females and males in this game..I use them in skyrim too,by the way..now i don´t want to sound all grumpy or in any way offensive(because everything is apparently)..but as a Grown man(yes,I´m 52) married, happily and generally fond of the female shape i use these mods to at least have a pleasant view whilst exploring,I generally play in "third person view" and, honestly, the back of a male is not as pleasing to my eyes as the back of a female, since i can build any shape i like in CBBE,i build a game version of my lovely wife ;-) because that way i can look at her, even when i´m not face to face(or otherwise) with her..By the way,My lovely wife would like someone to make a MALE version of CBBE,since her favourite playing style is also TP and the backsides(and fronts) of the males are as non-pleasing to the female eyes as a knitted cap on a any male(Her words, not mine)..so..to sum it up,like several others have already..use the Tag system if something "offends" your delicate feelingzz.thereby sparing you the horrors of other peoples preferences.and please,do not making sweeping generalisations about other gamers choices....thank you....

I use CBBE and Bodyslide. I used it in Skyrim, and I use it in FO4. And the sole reason I use CBBE/Bodyslide, is to have the ability to make my female character's (I play both male and female characters in various play-throughs) bodies look exactly like I want them to. Trust me, the vanilla character creator's body adjustment system is archaic and very limiting compared to Bodyslide's capabilities.

What I DON'T use CBBE for is to have my female characters run around naked, or wander the wasteland in skimpy, unrealistic clothing/armor. I don't use any "skimpy" mods at all. I'm what you'd call an immersion nut... and the idea of someone (a sane someone, anyway) going out adventuring through a highly dangerous wasteland in a miniskirt, tubetop and 9" stilettos is highly unrealistic and thus immersion breaking for me. As a matter of fact, my characters are basically never naked, unless while swapping out clothing/armor I remove a piece before throwing on the next piece.

Nudity is not the sole purpose of CBBE/Bodyslide, or even it's main purpose. After all, you can choose the "Nevernude" option which adds the vanilla underwear to your character just like the vanilla game. And so, if you think that's all CBBE/Bodyslide are for, or that's all people use them for, then you're just being closed minded and/or you're uninformed.

All that said, I have no problem with other peeps running around the wasteland naked or in bikinis or anime outfits or in fantasy armor ported from another game... it's their game, it's their rules and it effects me not. So why should I care? And so I don't. To each his/her own.
