Well ladies and gents it's been 2 months since the game officially launched and I'm hoping vainly, most likely, that some information will be released about the geck/ creation kit. I have the uncoformtable feeling that it'll take them longer still before the release it. Maybe it'll be because of console modding or god knows what. I'm just hoping that bethesda will go against their normal mode of operation and actually say something in the next few days. There it's off my chest now, I got to vent a little. Tell me what you all think as for me I'm going back to moping about how I can't build homes yet and I'm tired settlers stealing my bed.

Skyrim was released on nov 11. CK was released on Feb 7th.

Fallout 3 was launched in October, GECK FO3 was released on Dec 11

FNV was released Oct 19 and GECK launched same day.

so yea, Beth takes longer.

I would think, they "finished" the game november, then the stuff got into patches, and then christmas-holidays. So, the may started the final works for the creationkit just a few days ago, to make it userfriendly. Give them time. I would think it will be feb. or march.

I'd be willing to give them more time if they hadn't dropped so many features that were in fallout 3 or FNV. Hell in some ways the game feels like a step back in terms of skyrim.

I wouldn't be surprised if GECK was delayed until the time consoles are "ready" for mods. This time around it's not just the added complexity of forms but also support for new platforms both technical and logistics side.

The majority of mods will never run on consoles. So thats not a good argument for a delay.

Providing means to create mods but no means for downloading and using them by console users might be seen as Bethesda going back on the promise to give console users access to mods. If not outrage, it might still generate some bad will and bad press.

Then again, making stable mods takes time and will only be further delayed if the GECK is. The longer they wait to release the GECK the longer it is until there'll be mods ready for consoles.
