Gimpy
Ok, I just finished the seven quests of the nerevarine, (or so I thought) but when I go to dagoth ur, I can't get in. What did I miss? I completed the first five quests, then I went and spoke with Vivec and recieved the Wraithguard.(I assume this is the sixth quest) And then I went to red mountain and found Keener and Sunder. Also, where are all of these ash vampires I keep hearing about? Gimpy
DreamOfTheRood
I had this problem myself where I couldn't figure out how to get in. I spent a solid day going through the quests and stuff trying to figure out if I'd missed anything. Just like Arkngthand, there's a switch that will open the door and then close it. It's nearby on the hillside.
Marxist ßastard
Yes, and the Ash Vampires are in the marked citadels within the crater, including the citadel of Dagoth Ur itself, along with Kogoruhn and Mamaea, a cave somewhere South-ish of Gnisis that, after you've completed the Zainsubani quest for Cosades, offers a rescue mission. Each one carries a pretty powerful piece of clothing (Four amulets, a belt, and two rings, IIRC) with a unique texture and somewhat powerful enchantment. Gimpy
Thanks for the information, but what do the ash vampires look like? All I saw when I was in dagoth ur was a few guys with "dagoth" as their first name and some ash ghouls and zombies.
Switch
Trust me, you'll know em when you see em. They've got sort of wierd faces, large bodies, and have the skin colour of the Dunmer. Look very different from the normal Dagoths.
ThetaOrionis01
IIRC their names also resemble the names of the citadels in which they may be found
DragoonFurey
I could be wrong but dont the ash vampires wear big red masks? they also look like they are dancing when the fight its really quite funny.
Marxist ßastard
IIRC, only Dagoth Ur has the pumpkin head. The actual Ash Vampires have somewhat normal heads...
